I think your buying into the Wilshere hype far too much, he did have a good game against Barcelona. But a lot of Arsenal fans dont think he should be starting for them Last year when he was at Bolton on loan what would you have said? McCarthy was seen as better than him then but now Wilshere plays for Arsenal hes seen as better. For me McCarthy is a more consistant and solid allround player.

Next season if McCarthy is at Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea I bet everyone would say he had a better season than either Wilshere, Ramsey or Meireles because hed automatically be thought better of as hed be playing in the best teams.

 

I thought Hibs were asking too much for Fletcher, I still don't rate him, that being said he would have got us at least one point to win the league, although it is a month long window, we should have signed someone else.

Completely agree on McCarthy though.

 

No I'm not, if you want to have a look through my previous posts regarding the EPL I am not one to buy into the hype, infact as I've said many times it's the most over rated league in the world. Wilshere though is a special talent, that was clear to see even way back when he tore the Huns to shreds and won POTT at The Emirates Cup in 2008(or 9 can't remember), as a 16 year old. He turned Bolton around last year and single handedly made them a far better team, and this year has made the step up to the Arsenal first team, and has made the place his own. I'm going to call your bluff on the Arsenal fans not wanting him in the team, I simply don't believe that. Sorry.

McCarthy was not seen as better than Wilshere last year, that is nonsense. You're entitled to your opinion but I couldn't disagree with you more.

Peoples opinions on him on here are always going to be biased because he's Irish and a Celtic fan.

 

Im not being biased because of that though. I would rather have McCarthy in my team next season than Wilshere.

Teams from down there would be offering us about £3m or something fs but because he plays for the mighty wigan in that league he's worth £12m

to be honest iv watched him a few times an a dont see what the fuss is about. good player, no question, but never worth that price and thiers better players in and around that age

So why the * did they bid 7million for him in jan ? and he still wants him and as far as i have been told its a done deal again 7million. Blackpool will tear there hands off 12months left on his current deal.
