    Yup, that's the one.

I also hope the likes of Joe Ledley, Adam Matthews, Tony Stokes have that attitude.

Definitely worth it. He's playing some of the best football of his career at the minute.

If he had a better shot on him, you'd swear he looked a bit like a young Roy Keane.

He has matured into a fantastic player,

If every player had his drive and attitude we would be Champions League winners :icon_mrgreen:

He is one player that has made me eat humble pie. I didn't rate him him at all for a long time, but the past few years, I think he has improved massively. He has grown into a captain that is fit to have the Celtic armband.

It's not often I am forced to change my opinion over a player, but he is one, and he has won me over. He is first on the teamsheet for me at the minute.

good player wonder what the total would if you took his wages over the 6 years also.

Roughly, according to what he was quoted as being on in the media (which came directly from David Murray so I'm not really trusting it in the slightest) he has been paid £8.3m.

I'm his biggest critic but this season he's really impressed me. He doesn't seem to be just chasing the ball around like a loose cannon so much. Rather, he's always on the move even if it is just jogging pace, he's constantly making himself available and then playing a pass. I wonder if he took note of pirlo last season and has tried to adopt a similar tempo of constantly being on the move and making himself available for every move. Hope he keeps it up! he was the best player on the park against milan.

Although not a lot for Celtic. For 6 years service it's around what isto be expected. Gravesen in 2 years was paid around £5m and ended up getting a 'golden handshake' as well.

Bobo Balde eclipeses that figure, as do the likes of Alan Thompson and co. Ledley in 3 years is around £4m.

He is a higher earner, but lumping his wages in a lump sum over 6 years, using David Murray's 'leaked' figure as a basis is far from accurate.

It is. When you consider Henrik Larsson was paid just over £10 million for his 7 years of service in Scotland, it really puts it into perspective.

    Scott Brown has some agent.

Well worth his wage though, for many reasons outwith footballing ability aswell. :icon_mrgreen:

Larsson was paid £9.3m in his last 4 years at Celtic. I doubt he made only £700k in the previous 3!

Your probably right - I attempted to make rough calculations (obviously quite poorly:smiley-laughing002:).

All i know is that his last contract was £45k a week, although i'm not sure when that came into place, I always thought that was 2001-2004. Before that I know he had another pay increase from his original contract, therefore I am certain he must have been paid somewhere in the region of £18k-£25k a week 1999-2001 and before that I don't know, maybe £10k a week, who knows, its just (my) guesswork.

From 2000, when he came back from the leg break, he was on £45k. Before that it was around £20k-£30k I think.

I make it somewhere in the region of £14m.

    Bargain!

funnily enough lnadry got himself picked up by Bordeaux. he's played 47 times for them since 2011 but i'm unsure if those appearances are recent
