I'd take that fiery wee ned anyday! It brought out the best in him! I prefer his style at hibs to his style now he was more attacking and had chances galore a bit like Hartley at hearts and a totally different player at us!

We seem to make these players soft in a way I suppose brown and Hartley stood out like a sore thumb at hearts and hibs because the rest weren't really that good

Broonys done us proud on many, many occasions as the op says. He will be remembered as a great Celtic player and he deserves nothing less.

So * if he doesnae score more often, thats no his job. Remember Lenny never scored much and Broonys in his mould.

    Aye, what a petulant wee *. :40:

Don't know what it is but opposition players always seem to get really wound up by Brown.

you have to remember that most of our players who have been better than him in recent times have been young players that we have sold on before they would except a wage increase. Right now I think broony is our best player and he is certainly better than ki ever was for us.

I have always liked brown. The last 3 years in particular he has been solid.

On a slightly different note, how much does Scott Brown love Sammy and the other boys. He is a real leader in the dressing room and seems to unite all the boys.

Think they may be on the wind up.
Was worried to start with, as he was a tad hot headed :smiley-laughing002: but he has calmed down a lot (still has the occasional moment though) however, he has been worth every penny.

    Great OP Devski.

For me, worth every penny - 6 years here, with (hopefully) no end in sight. Have had this sig for about 5.5 of them, and never deviated from it. Always liked him, and has improved so much over the years as well.

Even Gers fans are begrudgingly admitting these days that he's "pretty good" which is also a * good indicator!!

Aye, and at only 28 he should have plenty left in the tank. Can see him retiring here.

Part of me thinks an English Club will come in for him in January, and he'll be very tempted....but a larger part of me thinks he just likes winning trophies and being a captain up here......I don't think money is the greatest inspiration for him - plus he's got plenty of it anyway.

The hope would be that he goes on and finishes his career with us, as you say. And then that 4.4 million appears even more the best value for money.:50:

I think he's showed he has no intention of going down there. He said as lately as this summer why would you want to be a mid table player when you can compete at the highest end of football, winning trophy after trophy.

Broony (and Sammy funnily enough) are Celtic through and through. Adam Matthew's labled him Mr Celtic. I don't agree with that, that's for the likes of Tommy Burns and Danny McGrain but the sentiment is there.

I agree with all of that, to be fair. Hey, if he ends his career here he will be a multi millionaire with medal after medal in the trophy cabinet.

Not a bad career to have eh?:smiley-laughing002:

It's an attitude I wish a good few more of our players had.
