Finished Jo Nesbo's crime thriller The Son. Not part of his Harry Hole crime series this is a stand alone book but in a similar style and if you enjoy his Harry Hole series which I very much do you will enjoy this one too. A good read for sure.

I'm reading The Meg just now, the one about the big prehistoric shark that got made into a film with Jason Statham, I would describe it as enjoyable nonsense.

I would really recommend it. Fundamentally disagree with him on a lot of things, however enjoyed reading why he believes in what he believes in and what he has tried to do in Cumbria. I genuinely like him and think he is a good *, while knowing if it comes to the crunch we would be on opposite sides of the barricades :giggle1:. Then again it was interesting reading biographies of Thatcher and Johnson as you always learn things from seeing the other side of the argument without having to agree with it. ( If the other side are at least willing to engage .)

Brilliant cheers for that. Exactly why it interested me when I seen it on audible, will maybe give it a go next time I'm looking, nice one.

I read this paperback years ago - probably when it was first published - and for some reason it occurred to me last week that it would work on the Kindle too.

    ;)

Hmm - photo didn't really work as intended. Tony Hawks. Hitch hiked round Ireland, with...

Read that before. Loved it. His other book 'playing the moldovans at tennis' is also very good

Finished Tana French's The Searcher. A little different from her previous books but still a good read set in the west of Ireland in rural Roscommon where a retired cop from Chicago has settled only to find himself sucked into the inner goings on of the local village as he gets sucked into looking for a missing local teenager.

Just read his 'The Thursday Murder Club' and it was excellent so I'll definitely be finishing the series

Rory definitely leans quite central these days to be fair. Quite like his podcast with Alistair Campbell.

Finished Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Supremacy. A classic spy/espionage thriller and a really fun read.

Also while I was away hiking in Death Valley Ken Bruen's A Galway Epiphany. Another great installment in his crime noir Jack Taylor series set in Galway. A really great read.
