5 or 10cms is actually quite a large distance and I think would just lead to more teams parking the bus. I also think watching teams pull off successful offside traps and players beating them with brilliant balls and runs is a good watch.

Stop the parking bus by making sure only a maximum of 4 defending players in front of an attacking player

Not all fouls in the box should be a penalty. Only when it's prevented a direct, goalscoring opportunity should it be one. Seeing them given when a player is tripped up on the byline, running away from goal, is a farce.

Foul throws shouldn't be a thing. As long as the player throws the ball with both hands, let it go. Shouldn't matter if they have both feet off the ground, or chest pass the ball like in basketball.

Red cards should be given for those fouls where a player is breaking up the pitch on the counter attack in the opposition half, and the recovering defender just blatantly pulls them down by their shirt, with no attempt to play the ball. Would require a bit more thinking/context, but I hate those fouls only getting a yellow card.

Ban headers at all levels of competition. Research has shown they carry increased risk of developing dementia. They are already banned in under-seven to under-nine matches. The ban will expand to the under-10 level in 2025-2026, and the under-11s the season after. I realize it would be a big change, but player's health should be the #1 priority.

A manager spoke to one of his players to get sent off as they were down to 8 men.
He did it because he knew the opposition would only get awarded a 3-0 win and they were already ahead 4-0 from first leg
That rule should be changed to whatever they are ahead from first leg, say 5-0, the opposition gets a 6-0 win.
Cheating should never be allowed to benefit the cheater.

Instead of getting sent off for a red card, the ref should tie the offending players laces together for the remainder of the match

Like idea of reducing squad but would make it even more risky.
Would have the players that are going to be removed named at start of match but if they are subbed then the player that comes on will take original player’s place.

Just remove the corner flag spot by this point because no one even uses it
