That’s what Celtic will bank. Not me. (I wish).

As bad as the 7-1 was if someone had offered me a point front those two games I would have definitely taken it.

Will do the moral of the team good for the next two home ties too. Hopefully we can put on a good show against Leipzig in a fortnight. Get anything from that then we will be in a really strong place.

Good summary and I pretty much agree. I enjoyed watching tonight but got frustrated with just how sloppy we were at times when under no pressure: even Scheimichel punted the ball for a shy. I thought the shape was so effective, keeping great contact between the backs and midfield but still being open to attack when the chance presented. Had we been a bit less sloppy we could have produced more of those chances.

TBH I honestly felt this was gonna be a damage limitation game. To take the Europa league winners and serie A league contenders who are riding high in their league campaign result and leave Italy with a point is a fantastic result. 4 points from nine is great form from us especially now we have gotten 2 of our more difficult games over and done with. Hopefully we can finish with over10 points. After tonight's result I honestly believe it is achievable.

A point from Dortmund away, Atalanta away and Leipzig at home, I'd have bitten your hand off.

Gives us a bit more freedom going up against Leipzig.

If we manage to beat Leipzig, we'd be looking to qualify for the playoff round with games to spare.

    SkySports are * LIVID.

"celtic get RARE clean sheet after seven years"

"Palasic breaking records for missing sitters"

"Game shouldve ended differently only Atalanta werent more clinical "

"Celtic pushed off ELIMINATION spot" (Not staying in contention for qualification) while Atalanta with a single point more are nearly making "automatic qualification".

Only thing we did apparently was "stop zappacosta crossing in the second half"

    Rodgers is being "defiant"

    Celtic "worked for luck"

Brussia Dortmund blah blah blah, Celtics away record blah blah blah

Up ye , ya sevco licking mutant *

Villa are flying, if they've qualified before the last game that could be a big advantage.

I think European games against English teams take care of themselves

The other thing is as games go on teams will be eliminated, qualified etc and depending what is going on in their domestic game will tell a lot for what type of team they put out.

The fact a few big guns aren’t doing great so far might play in our hands e.g. Bayern still have a number of games against teams who we would consider competitors, also a number of those teams play each other so someone or both will drop points.

It’s the same for us, but Zagreb are actually doing better than what they looked after the first game. That could be a big game in December but a lot to do before then.

Personally think Brugge at home is a must win game regardless of what happens with Leipzig. That and the Zagreb games are the ones against similarly placed teams.

Aye 3 points is the minimum required from the next two games in my opinion. 4 points and we would be in an unbelievable position.

think it’s more an arrogant English view than a hun bias tbh. The English genuinely think we shouldn’t be there to make way for another English team. Get it up them

So after disastrous Dortmund result moved us from 2nd place down to 24th place last nights result moved us up 4 places to 20th.
This keeps us in the hunt for play off place.
Next 2 CL matches are at home so hope we take full advantage of this.

I celebrated full time as if we'd won. What a relief to come out and away game in the CL with a credible point

Maybe if you'd bought Matt O'Riley, Atalanta, then you'd be able to score against the Celtic, Atalanta.

    - To the tune of, "Maybe if you have a jobby, Martin" from Still Game.
