There was no flannel with Fergus - said he was coming over to sort things out and make himself some money. Which he did - and also saved the club from disaster, and put us on a firm financial footing.

He saved us , he gave us a new stadium and before he came we were regularly playing in front of 20,000 fans and now we moan that we can only get 50,000 to most home games. I was like most fans at the time in that I felt he could have ploughed some money back into the club before he left or maybe fund the academy but hey it was his money , who are we to tell him what to do with his own cash. History will be kind to Fergus and rightly so. Pity there are nt more like him and if there was we would nt be seeing the obscene salarys and transfer fees and clubs up to thier neck in debt
