Celtic are preparing for their next opponent Inverness Caley Thistle at Celtic Park on Saturday. Many Celtic players were featured on international duty during the 2 week respite between club matches. Most notably Scott Brown, Stephen McManus and Paul Hartley who featured in a side that shocked France in Paris 1-0.

Inverness Caley has not beaten Celtic in Glasgow since a 3-1 defeat of Celtic in 2000, however, captain Grant Munro feel they can put pressure on the champions who might have their mind on the Champions League match next week.

Inverness Caley in 5 games this SPL season have yet to record a victory or a draw and it will be nearly impossible to record one against powerhouse Celtic, that kind of result for ICT would take a great deal of luck and a mental collapse by Celtic.
Reports have surfaced today that midfield misfit Jiri Jarosik has delivered an insight into the Celtic squad for readers of a top Russian daily paper 'Sovetski Sport'.

In a two part special over 2 days ,The paper says of tommorows edition that "Jarosik tells of the strengths and weaknesses of each player in the Celtic starting line-up.".

In todays he reveals his displeasure at being at the club ;

"I'm thinking of leaving Celtic. I've often picked up injuries here and played very little.

"In addition, the non-British style of football is more to my liking and I don't like too much the position Celtic have asked me to play in the team.

"I'm a central midfielder but have to play either as a winger or even as a forward.

"There are several options and my agent is taking care of them. I know about interest from clubs in England and Russia."

"As far as I understand I'm unlikely to play against Spartak Moscow. The Celtic management are aware...
ZURAWSKI today assured The Celtic faithfull that his heart is still very much in firing home goals

"I am not thinking about changing clubs now.

"I have a contract which has one more year to run then another year's option.

"I am thinking only about playing to the best of my ability. But, after another year, we will be thinking about my future."

"I know about Chicago Fire's interest only from what I read in the newspapers and the internet, not from the manager or anyone else. I don't think there is any truth in this. And I'm not going to Chicago this weekend to try and convince them to sign me."

He has not sat down with the manager to try and establish why last season was a pale imitation of the one which had gone before, in which he finished joint-top scorer

"I don't need to because what happened last season was down to one problem - my preparation," he said.

"It was very different because of the World Cup last summer. I...

Celtic continue to track the hottest young star in the MLS Freddy Adu.

The Ghanian born star has recently just turned 18 and can play in either midfield or up front and is interesting several top European sides.

Celtic have admitted in recent seasons to trying to sign players who can not only do a job on the pitch but also boost the clubs profile and commercial interests overseas.

The ploy has worked wonders with Nakamura but has also failed in the case of Du Wei. Adu would undoubtedly draw much needed attention towards Celtic and the SPL if he were to arrive.
Celtic manager Gordon Strachan is eyeing up a move for Swedish International Christian Wilhelmsson.

Wilhelmsson has 43 caps for Sweden and has faced Celtic in the Champions League with Anderlecht. He joined Nantes in 2006 but was loaned out to AS Roma and would be available for around 3 million euros. He is only 27 and can play on either side of the pitch but is naturally right footed with explosive pace.

Strachan is in the market for a winger with pace with Aiden McGeady the only player naturally suited to that position.

Could Wilhelmsson be about to join the list of great Swedes to play for the Bhoys?
