The Hoops begin their quest for a third consecutive League Cup when they take on Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic defeated the Ayrshire side in the Semi-Final of last season's competition also, and will be hoping for a similiar result when these sides meet again this weekend.

But the Bhoys will need to be well prepared for this match, as this could prove to be a tricky Cup tie. Kilmarnock already have a proven track record at home and Celtic will have to do what neither Sevco or Hearts...

Celtic head north to take on Aberdeen in tomorrow's lunchtime kick-off, keen to build upon the winning start to the season and follow up on the 4-2 victory over Ross County last week.

Even at this early stage in the campaign, Brendan Rodgers will have identified areas that the Hoops will need to improve on, while continuing to bed in new signings as the squad continues to evolve.

Despite the overall considerable success the Bhoys have had in recent times against the Reds, on closer inspection at...

All eyes will be on Paradise this Saturday lunchtime, as last season's treble winning Champions begin their Premiership title defence at home against Ross County, in what will be the first competitive game for the Bhoys since the return of Brendan Rodgers as manager.

The match will be preceded by the raising of the flag in front of a packed Celtic Park. But it is now time to get down to business. While the flag represents part of the success that last season brought, this is a brand new campaign and...

The Postecoglou Valedictory

One Last Piece of Business: Ange with the Scottish Cup at the weekend

It cannot be understated, Ange Postecoglou has done an incredible job at Celtic.

What a difference just a couple of years can make, especially given the derision that greeted his appointment. Lambasted and ridiculed as a joke by many ignorant of the man’s previous achievements, the Greek-born Australian immigrant has departed Scotland wth the last laugh, and leaving many with no shortage of humble pie to be shared around.

There is no two ways of putting it - at the time of his arrival, the club was a mess. No back room staff with him, a squad that was in desperate need of not just a refresh but requiring a virtual rebuild, a gap in the league that was 25 points behind Sevco. With Peter Lawwell on his way out as Chief Executive as well as Scott Brown’s imminent departure also, there was a real...

The Celts return to Paradise this weekend for the first time since secured the Premiership title a fortnight ago against Hearts, and are sure to be met with a loud and warm welcome for the homecoming of the Champions.

Despite the disappointment of the performance and result last weekend, there will be plenty to celebrate for the fans and players alike, as well as for the players that are still looking to secure their places for next month's Scottish Cup Final.

St Mirren are one of only...
