Basically a rip off of the best footballing memory, what's the shittest you've felt after a game that didn't involve your team?

I remember being raging after that CIS cup final between Rangers and Dundee United. United played them off the park and were leading, then they had a stone wall penalty to wrap it up waved off (shock horror) before Mark Kerr completely * it up and gifted Rangers a late equaliser. It went to penalties and it was just the most inevitable thing that Rangers would win the shoot-out.

I remember seeing the huns half arsed celebrations and seeing how it was just another trophy that they'd barely remember 10 years from now, whilst another set of fans had been denied the day of their lives because of some horrible luck and a bent ref. It was proper black and white, good guy v bad guy stuff and the bad guy won, it was really hard to take and I don't even support United. I guess United had the last laugh though.

Seville is my best but worst footballing memory. I would name the players all one by one and brand them cheats but they aren't even worthy of having there names posted on this forum.

Italy winning the World Cup in 2006. I was devestated and really * off that zidane got himself sent off. Could have been a great day as well. Throw in the fact I dislike Italy and ites even worse.

Spain beating Ireland on pens in the 02 world cup was a hard pill to swallow, should have had them beat in Extra time.
And then would have been S.Korea in the 1/4 finals, Ireland could have possibley got to the semis maybe even the final that tournament. :54:

Seville was a great experience, but the end result was devastating.

Seeing the Huns win the League at Parkhead was up there as well. (Hugh Dallas game)

Losing in the Semi's to Ross County, was especially difficult to take after the season we had.

This, and USA '94. Was in Italy on holiday from group stages onwards and it was * ace. The whole country was in party mode and it was amazing. The final (pens / Bobby B miss) still haunts me. Turned the atmosphere from carnival to morgue.

Believe it or not, I had actually forgot all about that.

Cheers Dev for casting it back up though :54:

    That one.

Portugal vs The Netherlands European Championship 2004 with the embarrassing substitution of Arjan Robben by * Advocaat.

And strangly enough I don't care too much about the last worldcup final loss tbh. Just went home from the pub silently and went to bed. :smiley-laughing002:

I experienced that twice - I drank myself into believing we'd won the league and found out the next day that we hadn't :54:

For those who are in love.....
For us that is the worst..

Seville was bad but the run was and achievement cushioned the blow and was something to be proud of..

Steve mcmanaman scoring that wonder goal(felt sick)in the last minute to draw 2 each as effectively ended up putting us out on away goals as we drew 0-0 down there..

Losing 2-1 in Scottish cup semi against Huns at celtic park not getting a penalty them going straight down and Sally scoring(sick again),hammered them that game aswell and should have been about 4 up at half time..

Losing at Caley thistle when we had the league all but sewn up and we didn't win it the other year..

    Getting robbed in Turin..

Scotland winning 1-0 at wembley, completely hammering them from first to last, they didn't have a shot on target but the damage had been done in the first leg and they put us out..
Should really put the first leg in as we were the better team, dodds should have at least scored a couple..

Getting beat 3-2 by Italy at hampden..

    There's loads..

Some who I don't support though..

England beckham free kick against Greece that put them through..

    Chelsea winning champions league..

    And last years Europa league..

Man city winning league last second of the game to beat united to title..

St Mirren 4-0 Celtic- Rubbing salt in the wounds of the failed Mowbray project. Horrible.

Italy 1-1 New Zealand- Both in football terms and geographically, NZ are on the other side of the world and yet...

Rangers beating Fiorentina on penalties in the UEFA Cup- They squeezed their way through every round with sheer luck, thank * they lost in the final, they'd have been unbearable otherwise.
