Just wondering if you think we will ever have the second highest gate on average in britain again - or are we poised to decline further

Not if ticket prices keep escalating.

    Nope.

That's due to a mixture of extortionate ticket pricing, the mass of glory hunters in our support, and the way in which football fans are treated these days.

The only time we'll get close to 60,000 nowadays is derby games and if we start competing in the Champions League regularly again.

Sure we will. "Ever" is a good long stretch.

Think it may be several seasons though - tough financial times ahead.

Main priority for a lot of folk has to be keeping things ticking over for their families, and looking out for each other.

Another dodgy new thread by the same poster. Hmm. If you're for real man posting a pessimistic new thread every minute isnt necessarily the way to go.

We will. People pondered if we'd ever return from the slump we were in during the 90s as well. Then we got Fergus, a packed brand new stadium, O'Neill, Henrik, Lubo, Seville etc.

Its the cycle of life of the club.

Unlees we get them in league cup, then three:38:

Or, if we get them in the Scottish four possible, getting better.:56:

60,000 average in a 60,000 capacity stadium is always going to be a virtual impossibility. That said, prior to the redevelopment of Celtic Park, the crowd average was well below 40,000. By contrast last season was close to 48,000 & this year it is close to 47,000 (SPL figures) & likely to rise when the 2 games v the Orcs etc are still to come, so these figures can't be sniffed at.

We do, but it's only while playing Rangers when the crowd reaches 60,000 mate, hence me saying only twice a season, unless we meet them in cup competitions, then dependant, could be three or four times.:celt_2:
