Hi guys ive been going to the games for years now and when i see samaras play the majority of the time he does well his pace is surreal, his first touch is brilliant for such a big guy and he has good feet, and he scores goals yet a section or most of the fans dont like him and jeer him and stuff but he is still only a young boy and he will get better, i just think while celtic fans who boo sammy need to think bout it as he is now playing out of position and he came to celtic on loan not so long ago and i beleve won us the league with his goals, and nguemo is gettin away with murder as he is easily 1 of the weakest players we have

Jst wana see wot you guys think bout that?

As talented as he is he never shows it often enough. Too many moves get broken down when he gets the ball imo and falls on his * too often.

But saying that he does show tremendous skill and determination. Wish he would just maintain a consistent level of performance week in week out

he has the abilty to do it all but doesn't show it enough and when we on the attack he'll get the ball and run back to our half with it to come foward which annoys everyone

I don't like him for the simple reason that I truly believe he has given away more goals than scored this season. I think back and remember so many times where a shambolic pass by Samaras has resulted in the opposition countering with our defense severely exposed and scoring.

A player in Samaras's position should not be the cause of conceding goals.

Every week theres a different scapegoat for a lot of the fans but I agree Sammy tends to get the abuse more than others. When he's playing well he's good but when he's not playing well he's a nightmare to watch at times.

doesn't fit scottish conceptions of 'what a player is'

people claim he's lazy but he prob covers as much ground as anybody and constantly is trying to retrieve the ball, but ppl ignore it because his movement is lanky and languid

Booing your own players is a disgrace....bad enough RFC fans doing it. Samaras is good but hasn't really settled this season in particular. Most of the time he has been brought off the bench..... maybe if he gets a regular slot in the 1st team now mowbray has gone he can prove that he can perform at the level he did last week every week which I believe he can....if he can play like that 1 game he can play like that every game.

No I don't agree with players getting booed by their own fans and I think it's a disgrace to be honest. If a player is not playing well how is booing him going to make him improve? It will just make them feel worse and puts more pressure on them.

Yes everyone has a "for * sake Samaras" moment in some games but I don't agree he should get booed.

I like samaras. The only downside to his game is that he often 'overplays' when in possesion.
Some of the abuse he takes from the fans is shocking imo.
I think he could be a great player for us. Unfortunately he's the type who thrives on confidence & needs to feel loved and he seems to react badly to the constant criticism from the stands...

you're actually the one who sounds like a prime dona.

Btw he has played 2010 mostly on the left wing, so not exactly a striker anymore.

hes the fastest player at parkhead accordin to strachan i remember him gettin the ball on the half way line against kilmarnock and runnin by alot of players and scoring he also done it against motherwell and against tottenham in the wembley cup and scored a great goal in moscow,at the nou camp against barcelona he came on as a sub and was brilliant puyol as i remember elbowed him in the face and kicked him off the park he is a handfull, hes no henrik larsson but he is the best we can get, i wish the fans would stay off his back. hartson sutton and larsson at celtic were in their prime, samaras has only turned 25 hes bout 3 years away from his prime give him a break.

Because he,s been pish the whole season and has missed the most sitter out of all the flops, he,s certainly not the worst but he,s been just utterly * garbage, and a hate that * 10 second slide tackle

For every good thing he does there is a 'fall on his *' to follow and the guy lacks confidence.

He's not the kind of inspiring striker that can pull you out a hole when the chips are down and he lacks the big-game mentality that Skippy had.

If he starts well, he plays well, if he starts poor, he disappears.

Unless he can find some kind of consistency and passion he will never be accepted by some fans, me included.
