    Stats itself shows that Maloney is a better player, supposedly, but stats doesn't tell you everything.

    Both fantastic, but in slightly different ways.

    I voted McGeady because when he's at is best he is unplayable and an absolute dream to watch

    imo i would have to say maloney - its a close call though as they are both outstanding players but id have to say maloney just edges it for me

    I'm McGeady's biggest fan, when he's in full flow.

    I don't think you could argue the fact that since his return the final product from Maloney has been better though....and that's from someone that didn't want him back :52:

    :celt_2:I read again the other day about celtic selling mcgeady in jan,,,if strachan sells one of our best players he should be driven out the door of celtic,and if worse comes to worse and he is sold the money wont even be invested in quailty players to replace him.as for maloney he is a good player and its great to see him in the hoops again.

    Me too. It is very close, but it's Maloneys' finished product that gives him an edge for me.

    at the moment i would have to say maloney as he is trying to prove himself back at celtic by winning back the fans and i feel mcgeady hasnt had a spark in this season yet!

    I think they do if they are elaborate enough -show possesion, good passes, bad passes, perentage of possession, assists, goals etc. Its the best way of being objective. McGeady has a lot of flashy skills but I am certain his assists, goals, shots on target/off target and successfully completed/arsed up passes/crosses ratios are far poorer than Maloney's. So, its an objective fact that Maloney is the better player (although his form has dipped a wee bit). Frankly I am really disappointed by Aidans lack of progress with end product this season. He came on a lot last season but his progress has faultered. IMO at the moment he has found his level as a very good SPL player but I dont think he would make it right now in the EPL or a top continental league.

    Maloney took a chance coming back to Celtic and it has worked out for us and himself.

    in saying that i think Mcgeady is the most gifted out of the two, but is a confidence player and sometimes can be his own worst enemy. One slack ball and his game can go to pot.

    Considering things like age,skill and experience i think Mcgeady just shades the first 2 with Maloney taking the 3rd

    mcgeady has more skill more pace and more heart...... but maloney has more end product with the ability to make things happen and get on the end of things as well. so for me.... maloney... by about 3 millimetres.
