Good. Gets him off the wage bill a bit longer. Strange player. Talented feet but something seriously missing up top (other than hair). The problem will return in the summer. Grav's contract is WGS's biggest mistake - on a par with MON's insane Bobo and Thommo contracts. Its such a nightmare when you give a player a golden handcuffs contract and they are not up to the job and are not driven enough by football ambition to want to give up some of their huge wages to go elsewhere. We should cut our losses with Grav and offer him free to anyone who wants him, even pay some of the difference in wages.

The Toffees might buy him at the end of the season, hes a fans favourite down there and they probably know we want rid. As for the contracts Bobo and Thommo were stars and i think the fear of losing them made MON give them big contracts, yet i agree this has backfired as when Celtic got the new manger they werent included but still picking up a hefty amounty of cash per week

I think its all been a bit unfair. The guy had a good start to last season and scored goals, including 2 old firm and a hat trick at love street. He was an important part of the team when we went on a record-breaking winning streak. Hartley and Lennon did nothing from Jan to May and didnt get the same level of criticism.

I think that sporadically he was good for us. Don't think WGS can handle him.

I must be honest though I had misgivings about him when I first saw him on that You Tube clip that was posted. He just looked like a big headless chicken.

id have grav back at celtic park training hard and gettin ready to play the holdin role in certain games where it is crucial, if you wanna be a good team, you have to have good depth to your squad, you cant say he is gettin big wages and not playing, the fact is, all big clubs do this, its a must, players get paid big to warm benches but grav can come in and do an excellent job as he has shown before, you cant expect to have a load of subs on 10g a week yano.

He has the same problem as Riordan. He doesnt fit into a 4-4-2. He is best in a 3-4-1-2 (him being the 1) or maybe a 4-3-3.

Hope he come back and does a job for us. People seem to forget that he scored some crucial goals for us.

He scored some crucial goals but he also made some big mistakes, i.e against man utd at old trafford. Would rather he just left now and got him off the wage bill. Thought he would have been a great signing but it just hasn't worked out for him.

Maybe you missed that year (or in Lennon's case 3 years).

Theirs no bigger Neil Lennon fan than me but he had a poor end to last season, mainly because Hartley was non-existent in front of him.

The partnership just didnt work and it showed as our form dipped in the second half.

    Get Grav back in!
