Tony Mowbrays revolution seems to be well under way, so I think its appropriate to ask where you think he should be taking us.
Into the qtr./semi finals of Champions League & eventually even winning it?

Even where that possible, personally I'm bored with the CL already.Any one of us could make a fairly accurate guess who the qtr. finalists will be for the next 5 years. I don't really care who wins it.The competition may not last 5 years in its present format.

So I don't want Celtic to become a poor mans Arsenal, I want us to take the Ajax route, bring thru some of our own players & support the game where we are based ie.Scotland.

This is not being racist, I loved MON's team & didn't bother about the lack of Scots, but whats happening now just feels different somehow.

umm.. you're serious about the winning the CL thing?? not a hope. I'd be happy with last 16 . Really, i want us to be on for 6IAR in 5 years. I don't want Mowbray in charge unless we win the league this year. Want us to be far superior to rangers, winning the lague by about 10 points every year

Going for 4 in a row (presuming we don't fight back and win this year).

Do not embarrass ourselves in Europe.

    Are you * serious ?

And what if the manager next year doesnt win the league, sack them and continue to do so ?

What you are saying is you want instant success and are not prepared to wait.

in five years I would love Celtic to be challenging in Europe again! If the board show some ambition and with the right man at the helm ( maybe Mowbray) I think we could build a team over that period good enough to challenge some members of the CL's last 16.

I go along with whatever "the paying customer" wants from Celtic in 5 years time and specifically season ticket holders as they are a major source of the clubs income and should be given a large say..
If that means going out of the SPL to a more glamorous league (and a hun free zone) where the club can thrive then I'd be all for it..

Hopefully FIFA's tolerance of English clubs (and billionaire owners) taking 3 of the 4 semi final places in the CL each season , finally snaps and they have a fairer structure in place that is based on a clubs debt and income , which would allow other clubs a crack at success..

I've mentioned this in other posts, Mowbray deserves to stay win or lose. The majority of posters on here (not saying that's you Slaw) were calling for a complete clear out of the 'deadwood'. Caldwell was slagged to death, again by the majority. Mowbray has got rid of the deadwood + Caldwell and brought in a whole new stack of players, he's done exactly what the majority of the posters on here were calling for. Now, does Mowbray not deserve one crack at the SPL - with his own squad of players from the start?

I would be aiming for 4 in a row with a happier mowbray at the helm and pushing for a quarter final place in the champions league by year 5. The reason I say this is because of the players mowbray seems to be targeting are all young full of potential and foreign (Not enough good scottish players around at the moment but I'd like the spine of the team to be scottish) and he is surely going to unearth some gems by doing so, which will bring success year on year. I think Ki will be a star, rasmussen has the ability to bag 30 goals a season and hooiveld is a natural born leader......

Too many fans think this way!! I want us to be winning 4 in a row with Mogga in charge , the team he has made looks more than capable of doing it! I have said it alot recently I think it's worth missing out on the leauge this year in order to win it for years to come!! The over haul of the team had to be done and under any manager there was going to be a very difficult period where there were alot of new faces trying to gel!

Getting back on topic I honestly see us getting 4 in a row and reaching 2 or 3 last 16's!

I would be happy to return to a few years ago... League champions and last 16 of CL. I think that is the best that can realistically be achieved. I think on the other hand that as long as we have zero debt then the board will be more or less satisfied with moderate success.

I would like us in 5 years to have made the last 16 of the CL twice and break into the quarters once, or maybe 1 really good run in the Europa league maybe actually winning it

I dunno - you seem to be criticising the board for having brought our debt down close to zero???

Compare the player deals we did over january with our rivals across the city - and consider the fact that, as stated by their manager, things are going to get much worse for them this summer and beyond, even if they win the treble. Do you imagine for a moment we would be employing Robbie Keane at 65K a week, if the club was substantially in debt?

If anything could hammer it into people's heads that debt is a real, real bad idea in the SPL, and that our board have got that much bang on, surely this would be it?
