  4. Havent slated the guy once ,ive said the jury is out on him until he settles maybe 3months but today he has eased a lot of pressure of himself ,hope now he goes on to score a lot more .

  5. Exactly.

Worrying considering the shower we were up against.

Trying to take the morale high ground after seeing him score a couple of goals, in amongst a lot of average play, in possibly our easiest fixture of the season.

  6. I was never a critic, but the man scored 2 goals against a diddy team, and missed 2 sitters. I'm sure he will bang in 10 - 15 goals this season, but theres no point in saying the mans a quality 3.8 million pound signing just yet.

  7. i thought he did ok! scored us 2 goals! we won the match! job done ,end off.

  8. ♪ i can't hear a * thing! :50:

  9. * *....people have been saying dont judge the guy give him a chance.....now those same people have judged him after one game.
6 month no less...then we can all praise him or hang him.

  10. Celtic didn't pay £3.8 million for a guy who can score 2 goals against (probably) the worse team in the league. I am not a critic of him as such, but I don't think his performance today merits a 'where are his critics now' response. I say give him a few more games, if he is still scoring then then fair play to the lad. I hope he does.

Tony Mowbray said it absolutely perfectly. The media and certain fans will judge him on his goal tally, the people that understand football know better.

  12. He can only play [what the SPL have giving Celtic as league fixtures [ so what it was Aberdeen and St Johnstone but he scored ,he is a new player from a totally different league and needs time to settle ,and if my memory serves me right TM has never came out and said ,this guy will score 20-30 goals a season ,what he roughly said was,he brings others into the game more ,and i can see exactly what he means by that .

  13. You make the baby Jesus cry.

  14. still here buddy :50:

he scored two goals against a scottish div 1 team today, on fire now :50:

cant wait for wednesday nite, hope he scores at our end :50:

prob score in CL final too :50:

  15. Hammer

You hit it right on the button ! Can see the big man is a vital part of Mogga's style of play. I liken him to Dirk Kuyt at Liverpool, won't be prolific but will work the channels and create space and chances for others. Only time will tell, but at least the ball sticks when it goes forward now !

  16. To be honest, i couldn't care who he scores against. Thats him off and running. If it was that easy why didn't McDonald go on to score more than his 1 today because HE does so much more than Fortune does. Fortune has been great for us, adds a totally new dimension. Which people are totally blind to see.

I really hope he does something special Wednesday night then people might get off his back.

  17. Cant understand why McDonald aint gettin any greif...IMO he's been crap for the last 6 month and nothings been said about him....:31::31:

  18. FFS were 5 minutes into a new season and already we have a "where are all the critics now?" post.

Won't be long before "critics" become "haters".

Why can't we have a debate about things without:

    a) trying to take the moral high ground
    b) creating an "us v them" division amongst our own support?

And for what it's worth - if you are going to suggest that Fortune is the finished article and worth every bit of his transfer fee because of 2 goals against St. Johnstone, you are every bit as stupid as those who have condemned him after a handful of performances.
