What's the worst town in Scotland?

As the title says. What is the country's biggest shithole?

 

I can’t remember the name of the place but worst I’ve been in for work, was a place in Ayr. Was genuinely horrific.

 

Tough call, as they are a few that come into the frame.

I would probably settle for Cambuslang, real shithole.

 

Cumnock? Patna? Ardrossan?

Only because I was there a few weeks ago, but Bellshill is an absolute shitehole.

 

It's not even close.

Coming from someone who lives here now and has lived and/or ran about places like Drumchapel, Easterhouse, Possil, Ruchill, Fern hill, Castlemilk. Cambuslang is nowhere near the shittiest.

 

Probably worse areas about but everytime i cut through Motherwell it's wee guy central and seems a complete ned fest of a gaff..

 

As I said there are a lot that come into the frame, and I've been in some real * places too, and kicked about others as well, but Cambuslang been a dive for decades, the Main St has nothing going for it, and it is just a dull, dreary place, I would hate to live there.

Cambuslang Circuit is a shithole full of neds and junkies.

Feel sorry for you, unless you live in one them fancy parts of Cambuslang.

 

Got to be Girvan or Maybole.

 

My mams from the circuit. Always gets a bad rap that haha. No clue what its like now but..

 

No idea either mate, don't go up there much now, but there is a lot of bad places run about Rutherglen/Cambuslang, Fernhill is another shithole.

 

Still a shitehole, as is all of cambuslang.

 

Gotta be some dump in Ayrshire, no? Or darkest Fife.

I've a Tim mate in Larkhall and been there a few times and on their CSC bus, more of our kind there than some think. Had a lovely brekkie at some joint on the high street. No too bad a place.

 

There are plenty of places with bad reputations that I’d rather stay in over the likes of Patna or Dalmellington in Ayrshire,Fallin in Stirling or Penicuik near Edinburgh…just isolated,lodge influenced shiteholes.

I was surprised how much Greenock had changed last time I was down - loads of places closed,half the mall being demolished.The demographics seem to have changed overnight as well,there was loads of men not from the town just hanging around doing nothing.They’ve knocked down the worst areas over the last 20 years and they’ve built some nice new places away from the centre but the town itself was really grim.

 

I live on the main street and it not even close to being the shitiiiest place in Scotland, not even the shittiest place compared to it's neighbours.

If you think Cambuslang is was ever the worst then you've lived a sheltered life.

 

To be fair, you've probably strengthened his argument here...

 

All the inner city places like Possil, Ruchill, Govan, etc. Schemes like Easterhouse , Drumchapel and Pollock are orders of magnitude worse than Cambuslang.
