I am just not getting my hopes up in january as we are not going to buy a whole new team being searching the web came up with a few things I have copied the first thing.

Newcastle manager Chris Hughton is lining up a £4m bid to make Sheffield United defender Matt Kilgallon his first signing since taking over on a permanent basis at St James' Park

I then read on it says Celtic are tracking Sheffield United defender Matt Kilgallon and are poised to make a £1.5m move for the player in January

and more Sheffield United defender Matthew Kilgallon will leave the Blades in January after rejecting a new £20,000-a-week contract. The £4m-rated 25-year-old is wanted by Wigan, Bolton, Celtic and Middlesbrough

So for a start I do not think we have a hope in * off getting kilgallon and I do not think we will buy any one and not very many players I think will go just trying to get people to not be dissapionted when it comes to january

also wolfswinkle Bolton and Celtic are considering a swoop for FC Utrecht's Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel

also the other derry city player Celtic are on the trail of 17-year-old Derry City midfielder star Darren McCauley, but will have to fight off Blackburn Rovers to secure his signature

I just think we are in for a tight season but tony will have to make do with what we have and to be honest we are making slow progress

Mcstay is also lining up as many as four Ujpest players who he think have the talent to do very well at Celtic. They will arrive at Lennoxtown later this month for assessment.

R.E Killgallon - good. Not a massive fan of his at all, if truth be told. If Newcastle are interested in him, that should be good enough reason to stay the * away, such is their renowned level of judgment with regard to defenders!

We have got more chance of signing Killgallon than Newcastle have with that muppet ashley there.

Think there will be 3 or 4 players in on January, only saying that as we now have a new manager and there will def be changes.

Have we not signed that South Korea Guy for £2.1m already??

Robert Koren looks like he'll leave WBA in January. No doubt we'll be linked with him.

    Two quoted were:

    Zsolt Korcsmar - centre mid.
Daniel Kovacs - winger (another one to add to our exisitng plethora.)

The other two, i have no info about mate.

Hoopy, it was widely reported we had signed him, and i too was surprised at reading this from the official site last week:

"This view was echoed by the Chief Executive, who admitted that Celtic are extremely hopeful of securing the transfer of South Korea midfielder Ki Sung-Yong in the coming months and are well aware of the “impetus” January signings can bring to the side."

Doesn't sound certain, despite all that i had read prior.

I think TM has been shocked into going all out for a new CB. Whether it'll be an improvement or not, I think he feels our current CB's have let him down *personally*, as if their mistakes reflect on his managerial ability. He'll be wanting his own CB brought in imo.

Could be a freebie from England or even between 0 and 3 million. Who knows!

As much as we need a pacey goalscorer, that will be a tougher nut to crack.

i dont see the difference between a freeby and a 3m player! i mean sometimes the players on free`s are really good and you also get * ones too! so what im saying is1 you dont have to spend money on a player all the time to get a good player. so if a cb is 0-3m? then sound! as long as he is a good one aswell.

That's the thing I'm sure he's going to be buying a CB one way or another, our defenders have had appallnig moments. Can't see him spending anymore than 3m so you know, there is no guarantee we'll be getting quality. Mind you, we might pull out a Danny Fox-esque bargain out of nowhere.

i have spent hours watching ki sung-yong and i think if we have tied up this kid it will be a fantastic piece of buisiness. I am currently waiting on several bookmakers getting back to me with odds for him to win young player of the year next season. P.S. i do not encourage gambling.....only get rich quick schemes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgTqjZvPLiA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYT56T7tFJI&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N94f4sOaiNw&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVUw5DQ4kcw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMs8yiTO2cA&feature=related

Don't think Kilgallon will come in January. Any club that is willing to pay up to 4 million for a player who they can sign for nothing 6 months later, aren't doing their homework. I'd offer him a pre-contract in january. If he signs, fair enough, if he doesn't, he can go to english mid-table obscurity

he is a very talented young player. maybe boruc or zaluska would put in a goog word about the club to him. another goog option would be brandao, he played against us a few years ago for shakhtar and he always looked dangerous

The idea of signing those four boys from McStay sounds interesting. He has shown he has a good eye for talent. But wait and see.....

As for signing South Americas, previous records don't support that. Scheit (?) and Juninho stand as an argument against South American mercenaries. (Noted: both of those players are Brazilian, whilst Argentinians (?) were mentioned). Not fussed on Kilgallon, if he's free yeah, if he's 4 mill look elsewhere!
