Just a bit of fun, the most ineffective 11 Celtic players in recent times?

Zhi and Kapo werent that bad to be in that kind of company.

But to be fair I cant think of a bad centre-mid, we've had a good few who werent that good but werent bad players. We've not had and Bob Malcolms, Namouchis, Mladenovics or Stephen Hughes'.

The rest are about right though id have Killen instead of Rasmussen.

 

Why do so many people suggest Kapo is one of our worst signings/a dud? Fair enough he only played 2 games, but he was signed on a free and assisted a goal at least. He actually looked fairly decent from what I remember...

Madness. Guy was a good little player. Will always remember him for that goal against Shakhtar.

 

Nonsense......he was * garbage.

 

nGuemo was actually decent. Better than Flood anyway, that's for sure. What has Rasmussen done to be seen as worse than Sheridan and Bangura? Possibly Murphy too.

 

I disagree, each to their own however. Donati was better than Flood though.

 

Massive let down, (£3m from AC Milan) well of the pace most of the season.
Forgot about Flood, but he only cost us 10p compared to donati.

 

None of the centre-mids mentioned so far were garbage never mind Donati.

Flood, Donati, Gravesen, Sno, Zhi and N'Guemo were all decent players, some better than others but all players capable of playing for decent sides and having good careers. They have all either played in the Spanish, Italian, French or English Top Leagues ffs

Garbage is players like Bob Malcolm, who in their "prime" cant hold down a place in even mid table SPL teams, and are passed about English 3rd and 4th tier teams before going to diddy Leagues by age 30 and retiring because theyre so *. That is garbage!

 

Sheridan, Bangura and Murphy have ALL played more minutes in a Celtic shirt than Rasmussen.

Nguemo was * garbage - used to be good at winning the ball, then couldn't pass two yards in front of him - good work ruined.

Willo Flood was just Willo Flood - tried hard, but was crap.

 

Players like Bob Malcolm played for Rangers - so unfortunately his inclusion in this conversation is pointless.

Bangura has played more than Rasmussen and has showed absolutely * zero, nada. Rasmussen played 10 games and scored 3. Winning us a game against Hibernian if I remember rightly. There's now way Rasmussen was worse than Bangura (as much as we've seen from Bang)

Flood was worse than nGuemo.

 

Well obviously Lennon rated Bangura far more highly than Rasmussen - that's good enough for me - considering Kenny released Raz and never played him, yet says Bangura still has a part to play.

Flood was not worse than N'Guemo.

 

Lenny saw Ras as just another Mogga player who wasn't up to much. Of course he's going to give Bangura a chance as he's a player he paid £2.5m for. Lenny has obviously seen the light as he loaned him out at a time we were light on strikers.

Just because Lenny didn't fancy Ras doesn't mean he was worse than Bangura.

 

Just because you don't fancy Bangura doesn't mean he's worse than Rasmussen :bbpd:
