    See I have so much good things from the 80s. A complete freak about music as a kid. Sat up to 3/4 am sometimes to record music of a very poor reception of Radio Luxembourg. Must have been about 8/9. Also centenary season and 3 channels on TV really was more than enough. Now days reminds me of that Springsteen song, "57 channels (ain't nothing on)

    Yes the 80s are pretty dam good as well good pal,i think the last 2 decades are not a patch on the previous 3.

    The 30s.
    No DNA testing in those days so you could commit murders as often as you wanted to and not get caught.
    Also you could buy a loaf for a penny.

    I picked the sixties, long before I was born. 70s would be a close 2nd.

    The period saw a cultural explosion in music, arts, fashion, literature, film. It was really the decade that created the teenager in the UK. In an economic sense things were still ok before it blew up in the 70s. And of course it was the absolute peak of Celtic and scottish football in general.

    I prefer the music and culture of the 70s but as much as it is easy to look back with nostalgia, it must have been a pretty bleak period to live through.

    I was a teenager in the 90s. It was fun being a teenager but it was fairly uninteresting time to be young. Beats being a teenager now at least. This is probably the worst time to be young in the post 2nd world war era.
