Thanks to recent transfers of Boruc & Zuraw lots of Polish tims invaded this forum. They're all Celtic fans and know a lot about about Celtic & Scottish football. It's time to know what YOU know about relations between Scots & Poles in football. Can you answer those (i think easy questions)?

    1. name all Poles who have ever played for Celtic (easy one)
    2. do you know any other Poles in SPL
    3. what was the result in last match between Poland and Scotland
    4. has any Scottish player ever played in Polish League (who?)

I hope questions are easy, but I'm always annoyed when people from abroad know nothing about our history. :38: Thanks

Our "average" national team played in last World Cup in Japan/South Korea
and will play in next one in Germany ... there are some national teams that can only dream about it...

If the Polish national team is average, how would you rate Scotland?

Yeah, but never played in EURO:38: and missed some World Cups before.
I think 'average' is a good word.

Before any misunderstanding I am Scottish, and yes only dream of qualifying with the same consistency of late as the Polish side. Poland are a good side, wish same could be said for our national team.

No no they're definetely better teams. And Sweden (lost 5 last games with them) and Denmark (lost 1-5 1 year ago) are tougher opponents for us than England, Italy or Spain.

Take under consideration the fact that there're about 40 million Poles. We shold be better, shouldn't we?

Nope. I'd say : Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Danmark, Czech Republic - excelent teams !
    for example - England, France, Italy - Very good national teams;
for example - Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, Scotland - good teams
for example - Germany, Russia, Romania, Slovakia - average teams
and the other categories I skip :)

U got one problem - Berti Vogts, thats why the Scottish were so "average".

    very good: argentina, czech

good: holland, spain, italy, ireland etc

    average: poland, switzerland, ukraine

under-average: iran, france xD, romania and like 70 other countries ;)

worse teams: liechtenstein, andora, scotland :E

OK. So let's assume that it was only a misunderstanding about the definition
    of the word "AVERAGE" :50:

Sure. And I wouldn't be so harsh for Scotland. Their time will come, they have some potential and fighting attitude so GOOD LUCK to Scotland !

I think that Poland used to be a good team in 1970/80. In the 1990 we slipped to below average, but recently our team has looked very strong. According to UEFA rankings we are in 21st spot, but noone goes by that anyway.
