What age did you first start drinking at?

I am very interested to know what in general... is the age that people start drinking at.

So here are 3 questions.

1. What age did you first take a drink at? (being just a "sip" or more, basically what age did you first taste alcohol?

2. What age did you first take more than the one drink?

3. What age did you first get drunk?


For me.

Thing is, when I was a teenager I preferred to get a smoke than a drink. I didn't start to drink regularly until I was 17.

 

1. Whatever age I was when me neighbour rented a tap for a bbq and went out the next day, me and me mates hopped over for a sip.

The first time I tasted alcohol I was about 5 but it was an accident- we were eating dinner and I needed a sip of water and I assumed what my da was drinking out of a yellow plastic cup was water. It was actually whisky

 

1. About 4/5 - Went to Turkey on holiday, was thirsty so got some money off my Mam, went to a shop for a drink. Was given a glass bottle, necked it, tasted horrible. Turned out it was Raki or something. That stuff is strong as * haha.

2. Probably about 10/11, at my Aunites house, she normally had a party every Christmas night, and used to drink alcopops.

when i was about 8-9 and my mum was going for a night out, she use to always give me a bottle of bacardi breezer, so a suppose that was when i first ever tasted a sort of alcohol

Ha. I was given alcohol first when I was teething. Not sure exactly what age that was, but early, nonetheless.

First proper drink would've been when I was 12 or 13. Mum was saying how it's fine to have one under her supervision, in the house, as long as I wasn't trolling the streets. I kind of agree with this.

And first drunk...eh, 15, 16? I don't rightly remember.

 

Had my first drink at 17, two weeks prior to my own 18th. My Uncle took me into that Annie Millers gaff for a pint on my birthday. Pure hole of a place.
