Pointless post of the day goes to hubert:86:

Not so sure what is happening with the Fortune situation. Aparently he was set to have his medical, but that was a good few days ago now. Haven't heard any more about this matter though so im asuming it's no further forward.

Pointless only because you are in denial, its the same season in season out, why do you expect things to change, I have already said often what Celtics problem is, its the people running the club! :87:

Rosco you certainly shed some light on the subject! *

Well, it did in all fairness. I told him that I thought we are no further forward in the Fortune matters. I know it's the same thing season in season out. Looking back on my post I can't see where I said I expected it to change.

The reason that the medical is taking so long is because celtic are making certain that fortune's injury problems are in the past. This is taking a long time as they have done scans aswell as received previous scans from man utd in order to clarify fortune's injury status. I believe this is a highly sensible thing to do because the last thing we need is to have a player sit out a season through injury whilst on reasonably high wages and the situation should be concluded by tomorrow. Therefore we should hear about an advance in the deal in the next few days!!

Better to be safe than sorry! £30,000 and some serious injuries are enough for the men at the top to be cautious Hubert!
The same men who brought us Roy Keane and a £7m training academy in the past few months despite running at a loss! * crap they are!

Nearly all football teams in Europe run at a loss so I hardly see why that can be used as criticism.

If we stay in the CL till the quarters, we will make a profit this season.

£30,000 a week for Fortune!! He'll be on roughly 15k.

fortunes agent francis martin says QUOTE my understanding is that celtic are still assessing the scans, we hope to have a conclusion by the end of the week so quintin can settle his future.

It's a good idea to look at the scans thoroughly. Celtic can't afford to have a player on high wages being injured for most of the season. If we don't assess them properly and give him a good contract then that would be a * of a bad move. If we do sign him after his medicals and examinations then I think he could become a good squad player. Really don't think he should be on any more than £15,000 a week though.

Give him 20k a week, and put a clause in there that he must play a certain amount of games, no like Sutton did to us? :87: :84:

You only accept that sort of request from a player if they are really good.
