Don't know how it looked on telly but from inside the ground I thought Wallace had a cracker at left back last night. Especially against Geremi in the second half, that big fella's touch is class.
Wallace didn't get forward much (coz Pearson kept givin it away) but that'll do just fine at the back for me.
More impressive was Wilson at right back, the difference when he plays there instead of LB is enormous.

What will Strachan do though? He's got to accomodate his boyfriend Telfer somewhere. Maybe swap Lennon for him?

Got to say as well, Boruc is the best keeper we've had in my lifetime, that point blank save from Shevchenko was pure magic.

No No No No No No No. Don't even go there. We need a proper * left back, one who can defend not a converted midget winger.

well said big al!!!:50: I had an arguement with a couple of pals this morning and i was saying wallace had a cracking game last night and MIGHT be the answer to one of our problems. He played really well and the odd time he did get up the park and got a cross in there was no one there. Whether he would be able to compete on a regular basis in big games (CL) i dont know but he could definetley do a job at left back on the domestic scene going by last nights perfomance.

One friendly and suddenly Ross Wallace is Roberto Carlos..............Pish. He's not a left back, he's never been a left back and he never will be a left back. If I was the opposition manager I would tell my striker to stick with the midget at left back and fire crosses to the back post all day long.

I thought Wallace and Pearo linked quite well together, when one went forward the other dropped in to cover. We could do worse in the short term. Cant believe we might let both of these players go at present.

Just off topic How the * did we get beat by Hearts. They were *. Can only think its a lack of preparation, surly wont happen again.

Yes he was, he is not a full back he is a winger lets try McGeady their and lets see what happens. Your reply to that would be dont be daft he's not a full back, well neither is Wallace.

What is it with this position? How hard can it be to find a half decent left back? We haven't had one for ages. Strachan's converted a right back, and even before that MO'N did the same with Jackie. Who was the last REAL decent left back? Was it Stephane Mahe? If so, for a club like Celtic that's a * disgrace.

Its goin to be tough for whoever comes in at LB cos its been a problem position for a long time and as soon as he has a bad game he'll get ripped to shreds at every opertunity.

Wallace done well but its most certainly NOT the answer. The board must spend money and get a good left back in.

Wallace had a fine game at LB, if we get no one else. He must start and be given a chance as anything is better than playing that C**T Telfer! Play Wilson at RB from now on, he is class!
