Been on this site since 07. Come here for ma transfer news to the actual news. Dont post alot but obviously value your opinion.

Having twins at the grand Old age of 35. Already have 2 wains with normal names. Oldest is 15 in two weeks. Aye am mental, doing it aw again.

Anyway the new missus likes obscure names she's made up herself but loves a Scottish connection.

Ave named the bhoy Callaugh, almost locked in.

Steamin me said Lassie was a good name, sober Paul didny agree. She's near locked that in. Anyway ave raised the other name 'Braw' and she's in two minds.

We where both from a part of Scotland where it still means beautiful, its obscure and its Scottish. Ticks all the boxes. (We both don't live there now)

Even if a get 8 responses to this am locking it in.

But al put keep looking as an option. Still got 9 weeks to go.

For the love of Christ do not name your daughter 'Lassie' or 'Braw'. :56:

Isn't naming a girl 'lassie' just the same as naming her 'girl'....

    Congrats :50:

Lassie is a dug's name and braw is what you call a fit bird down the pub. Don't name your kids that ffs. Erin and Alba are good shouts. Do you live in Scotland?

Also just thought of Skye and Isla

*. Naw, seriously, keep it basic, mate. The wean'll thank you for it later. Imagine, doon the line, all these wrinkly, 90 year old Chantelle's. Lassie I knew years ago called her new lad Ewan. Surname was Kerr. She never twigged.

Thank you. Lovely name if you’re from Irish descent, my dad named my sister Erin. The name just literally means Ireland.

Ave been told categorically that if I name the boy she gets the girl. She's set on Lassie so Ave got her to Braw. It's the best I can do.

Ave two wains with normal names and she has two. If I posted her youngest name. She would stab me for posting it but I would also have to make a Kerrydale street account.

If you're on facebook, look at a group called 'That name is a tragedeigh'. It'll put you off having one of these daft names.

Bare in mind that a bairn called 'Braw' will have to go for job interviews one day.
