I,m absolutely disgusted with some of the posters on here and the verbal slaughter of Neil Lennon.
Its all very well having an entitled opinion on wether he is good enough to manage this club, but c'mon ,the man still deserves the respect of the fans.Lenny is Celtic through and through.Last season he laid his life on the line for this club and and stood up to the bigoted establishment, the first manager to have the balls to open up on the *.
For the record,I am in agreeance about his tactics and team selections etc.
I was at the game yesterday and I'll tell you what, some of those players on that park looked disinterested,as if they werent giving afuck.Their heads went down after going a goal behind. Some of them just arent good enough to play for Celtic.
Lenny will shoulder the blame and rightly so.
There was little arguments among some supporters, all down to frustration. We all went there and sang our hearts out and backed the team as usual only to be treated to an inept display.
I went home and watched Lennys post match interview which i had recorded. He didnt look too well and I really felt for him.Now I am concerned that should we go further behind or we dont catch up,the fans will turn on him and the boo bhoys will emerge.
Lennon doesnt deserve that. While he is still Celtic manager we must support him, even if things arent working.I think he may contemplate quitting in January if results dont improve, but theres a lot of points to be won and lost in this league and the players he picks need to get their fingers oot their arses and repay the loyalty he has shown them, starting NOW.
Neil Lennon is,and always will be a Celtic Legend. We cannot desert this man now.

Mate he gets respect imo.But he the manager who took all the praise when team was playing good so he can expect the criticism when the team is playing crap like now, after all its his team now.

If the huns beat St Mirren they will have went through the entire division dropping only 2 points. There is no way they are going to start heavily ballsing it up.

I agree that the huns will slip up,just not as often as we do,they never do ffs.In the huns starting 11 they got about 5 players who would die for them and never give up,we dont

I think every fan does respect Lennon, any comments I have read are about his managerial skills as opposed to anything personal about him. I do wonder if he is mentally and physically ok though, he's looked drained in recent times, the pressure may well be getting to him. He gets far more respect than Strachan was ever afforded.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect the OP

But let me tell you this , fall any further behind before the Jan window opens and the dwindling attendances at CP will force the boards hand and N Lennon will be removed. This is the truth.

Maybe some people will be happy with 2 cups and 2nd in League but im not .

He should start wi basics like only play Samaras n Loovens in Europe as that's over as far as qualification goes and start with Hooper n Stokes in every league game and least then he willbe getting the basics correct.

Agree with this.We all respect lenny and what he went through last year for the club but that dosn't mean we should turn a blind eye to whats happening on the pitch. The leagues far from over but we cannot afford any more slip ups imo.Lenny picks the team to put out so he has to shoulder the blame at the end of the day

    macari?
    barnes?
    venglos?
    brady?

etc neil isnt doing well just now as the team isnt so he gets the pelters.this is football and nothing personal towards him its the way it is and personally i think we need to change something soon and if that means lenny? then so be it. 10 points behind and we aint even went guyesing yet ffs,

Here here... I have been sick of boo bhoys from last season... Don't know when there will ever be a time when boo bhoys are content. They hounded Strachan out of the club, claim we are going backwards, yet then want to have O'Neil or Strachan back. O'Neil had big money to splash about, and although Strachan deserves credit for where he got us to and what we won with him, his teams were full of journmeyment and fuds...

Last season everyone was going * for Celtic and Lennon, and claiming this team could do damage in Europe. Granted we are points behind Rangers, but it is * OCTOBER... Some folk I hear, read comments of, talk to just wind me up man...

Anyways, great post mate... Well said. :50:

the problem is he gets to much respect, i love and admire neil but the fact is that anyone else in his job has done what he has he would of been sacked. This is the worst rangers team in years and over the last five years they have wiped the floor with us. So what we beat them 3 times last year they won the league and the cup against us when it mattered. This year is pish a 50% win ratio against pish poor teams and we are to sit and say its ok. Every celtic supporter i know have been giving him respect but when it time to go its time to go.

    agreed

what use is respect when we are pish? do we sit back say "oh poor wee soul Neils gonny get it sorted wan day"

he'll get my respect 100% once he starts to show me proper football,by dropping the useless * that play for us

and most of all once we lift that spl trophy and the power turns towards the east end of Glasgow.

YOU DON'T DEMAND RESPECT !! YOU EARN RESPECT !!

And Lennon as a manager has done nothing so far, to earn my respect !!

The Great Jock Stein, Brian Clough, Martin O'Neil, Alex Ferguson or even Gordon Strachan...... didn't demand respect. We respect them cause of their achievements !!

So, for all I care Lennon can GTF !!

    Hail Hail:shamrock:

BEST * THREAD since i joined on here....well * said........every word is true.

I am annoyed at Lennons tactics sometimes, inability to see when subs need to go on and who should come of,zonal marking etc........BUT he is our manager and deserves all the help he needs......He is STILL LEARNING,even though mistakes are still being made along the line.....HE WILL GET IT.....i just hope he learns quickly from his mistakes.
I personally think the League is over(i pray im wrong) but there is points/games to be won so lets go for it.

PS id personally fire.....Maj/Wilson/kadourii/Brown/samaras/Bangura to train more and train with the kids these guys need to be sorted out quickly....
Id treat the europa games with ease....dont give a * if we get pumped(put theses guys in it to learn also)..
    Main Priority is league.............

The team should be............4-4-2.......with hooper/stokes/kayal,forrest,Ki,Ledley/wilson/mulgrew/rogne/kadourri(till izzy is back)/Zaluska for me

My opinion.......keep 4-4-2.....Dont mess about with it,Keep subs on there toes,No zonal marking.......any stupidity ie commons......set to cup games and train with kids

Admitedly, it doesnt look good. Still, the orcs, will slip up. Getting beat by hearts is not an embarasment, the home defeat to stjohnstone was embarasing. Remember hearts its the same team that held rangers to a draw at cuntbrox. They are perfectly capable of beating them at swinecastle too. Next old firm game is at parkhead so we should have the advantage and if we win our game in hand, the point tally is down to 1 point ahead.

Obviously this relies on us winning from now on, but we arent exactly needing rangers to implode on themself (be nice), we just gota beat them in the old firm games and hope hearts can do us a favour in a few weeks.

    * bless Neil Lennon

    hail hail
