bamba would be a great signing for us imo , he is a key figure for ivory coast and watch out for him at the wc:50:

  2. Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Dmitriy Torbinskiy. Very good left-footed MF-s, something we sorely lack.

  3. Diniyar Bilyaletdinov Everton paid 10mill i think for him no chance , great player tho

  4. Fabio Aurelio

  5. Didn't know he went there. Still, that leaves Torbinskiy. And one of the Kombarov brothers at Dinamo Moscow. I think Kiril is left-footed.

The fact ppl like Bamba and Kenneth are getting so many mentions worries me, these are two players that are slightly better than the rest of the SPL. Both are always likely to make a couple of howlers every game and * knows we have enough centre halves capable of that already, I think Ledley would be a class signing. St.Ledger would be my DC of choice.

    +1

This thread has become depressing lately, with the likes of the two you've mentioned added to the list of Dixon, Conway, Crainey, Bouaben, Mulgrew et al.

At the very best, these guys could be squad fillers, however we have enough of those already.

    Where has our ambition gone?

i'm sorry but bamba is a very good player imo, better than anything we have and i reckon he'll have a good world cup.

Weren't we linked with Matt Derbyshire in January? Always liked the look of him, might be able to tempt him back for a decent price (or swap Samaras!)

Folk are actually suggesting Gary Kenneth? Seriously?

He is a cart horse. Full of heart and nothing else.

Richard Chaplow is available on a free would take him in a second. PNE had to let him go as he was one of there big earners.

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is ready to make a surprise move for midfielder Richard Chaplow - handed a free transfer by neighbours Preston.
Chaplow was released by Darren Ferguson at the end of his contract but he could make a surprise top-flight return with the Seasiders.
The former England Under-20 internatinal has played in the Premier League for West Brom and would leap at the chance of competing for a place in Holloway's newly-promoted squad.
Holloway is currently trying to sort out contracts with a handful of players who have one-year options in their deals before he starts signing fresh faces.
