    In attack, Thierry Henry will form a formidable partnership with arguably the greatest striker of all time, Pele. Against tight defences, their movement off the ball will create space and allow Kaka to run the channels and create chances. Against high defensive lines, Pele, Kaka and Henry will use their creativity and pace to get in behind the defence.​

    In midfield, I have excellent defensive cover in Marco Tardelli, one of the greatest defensive midfielders of all time. Next to him, I have perfect balance; a ball winner and box to box midfielder in Vieira and an excellent playmaker in Pirlo, who is also capable of scoring some beautiful free kicks. One word that epitomises Pirlo, for me, is 'composure'.​

    My back four has the current best left back in the world marauding up and down the left flank, with Lilian Thuram (the best defensive right back of all time) on the other side. In the centre of defence I have legendary libero, Gaetano Scirea, with Mascherano beside him. Some think of Mascherano as a defensive midfielder but he's played as a CB for Barca just as often and been incredibly succesful there too.​

    Satiago Canizares is one of the few footballers to have experienced a La Liga win outside of the big two in Spain, with his key performances for Spain and Valencia ensuring he had an incredibly successful career. ​

    Tactics

    Pace, class and skill throughout the side.

    Defence
    Schmeichel- Best ever in one to one situations. 11 goals to his name highlights his will to win.
    Width and defensive cover provided by two of the best full backs of all time.

    Alves- can equal Maldini's record of 10 European medals on Sat.

    Cole-was the best in the world at his peak, nearly as good as KT.

    Kohler- has everything you'd want in a defender strong, good in the air, excellent with the ball and a threat from set pieces.

    Krol- for those who don't know was a class act and could play anywhere across the back and as a DM. He will bring the ball out from the back and cover for Matthaus when he bursts forward. He'll also cover Cole when he moves forward.

    Midfield
    Matthaus- would captain my side, a player who had everything the best box to box midfielder ever. An intelligent and tactically astute player who could also play sweeper too. The most capped German player of all time and the only one to win World Footballer of the Year. He will sit and burst forward when the time is right.

    Giggs- the most decorated player of all time with 34 major honours. He would provide great width and delivery into the strikers.

    Hagi- Two footed but preferred his left an amazing talent, in this team he will cut in on that left foot from the right and unleash his powerful and accurate shots or link up with Maradona in the centre(wow). He will also bring the overlapping Alves into the game.

    Maradona- The best.

    Attack
    Van Basten- 300 goals in a career that was cut short at 28. Clinical and arguably the purest striker ever. Giggs will float balls for Marco to acrobatically volley into the net.

    Klinsmann- A winner and work rate second to none and a clinical finisher, became the first player to score three goals in three consecutive World Cups. And if we need a pen he'd be useful to have around.:fear:

    a wee run down of my team but youse already know it talks for it'self

    goalie - you all wanted him so nuff said.
    full backs - a german efficiency machine and a Spaniard who came recommended , gid eh ?
    centre backs - the only ever so far invincebillian and another Spaniard highly sought after .
    holding midfielders and an attack pit bull , worried now eh ? and that's before I go upfront
    a three behind the striker who are just ..... words fail me bet youse are as well .
    striker extrordinaire who'll put the bite into any of your back lot .

    Formidable back 5.

    The best centre back/libero ever in Beckenbauer. The most recent defender to win the Ballon d'or - Cannavaro. Two of the best full backs of all time. Zoff ain't half bad either.

    Claude Makelele, one of the finest defensive midfielders to play the game. Zidane on Madrid selling Makelele in order to sign Beckham...

    "Why put another layer of gold paint on the Bentley when you are losing the entire engine?"

    Steven Gerrard will get up and down the pitch, scoring his fair share of goals. A complete midfielder.

    Joaquin with pace down the right, able to whip in some crosses for Shevchenko in the box.

    Neymar on the left will tear defences apart with his pace and trickery, before bagging a hattrick. Already Brazil's fourth highest goal scorer at the age of 25.

    Dennis Bergkamp playing just behind Shevchenko. Goals, technique, composure...a delicious front 2.
