I can see the sense in NL having an experienced "head" to bounce ideas off as part of his team, but I can't for the life of me see the benefit of hiring Trappatoni. His CV of late is not exactly inspiring and the fact that he has a connection to Ireland through the international team ain't gonna put bums on seats in Parkhead. Having said that, I don't know who would be the one to fill that role. Surely we have enough Celtic brains available at the moment without going outside (Big Billy, Jim Craig, etc)

steve clark as assistant?would rather an experienced assistant than a DOF.would be an extra wage and more than likely an expensive one

Well if your talking about an experienced head.. Lets start by ruling out anyone who wants a number one manager job eg- Mark Hughes. We would be looking for someone who has been through the management phase and just wants to help out rather than pursuit their career.

I'd like Wim Jansen. Managed us, experienced assistant andexperienced DOF/Techniqual advisor/techniqual director. Obviously has a good eye for a signing aswell.

:50: No compensation needed to be paid. Good knowledge of players in that part of Europe and knows how to win the SPL.

Seeing as inexperience is the name of the game, allow me to plump for Regi Blinker

The point of this thread assumes we hire the inexperienced Neil Lennon as manager. If inexperience is the name of the game let's get Regi in, you know what the Dutch are like for football strategies and analysis :icon_mrgreen:

Nothing against the O/P just more the idea that we should have a DOF/mentor in the first place.

Its a hard one whne you reaslly think about it. You need someone who has the Celtic way of thinking. He has to be experienced. He has to be some one Lenny can turn too and probably someone Lenny knows well.

I know i just said that stuff there but i cant think of anyone like that at the moment, Hay would be a shout, maybe McNeill. I dont know about Wim to be honest.

If its anyone out with the club, ie not a former player. Who do you think would be a good choice?
