Its a bit unfair generalizing us under 20's if im being honest, my dad got us 3 tickets and im going to the cup final and ill be happy if we win it, and i sure as * want us to win it.

But you have to look at is as well from most fans perspective, it is going to be a hollow cup if we win it, you cannot deny that, without the league frankly the cup is a consolation prize, the good thing is that its silverware and hopefully will experience our players to know what it takes to win trophies.

You've just proved my point there.

I do not view the Scottish Cup as a consolation prize and it will not feel hollow to me if we win it. Ok it won't feel quite as good if we've lost the league but it won't feel hollow.

Winning the league is obviously the best feeling but winning the Scottish Cup always feels great too.

we need to win the cup means we have won more scottish cups than rangers by 1

imagine we get to 50 cup wins before rangers. think we should put 5 stars on our badge. . . . . . .

every celtic fan should be ecstatic that we win the cup we shouldent let they * ruin our season. we didnt go far in europe, we might have lost the league(for talking sake) but look on the bright side it was a rebuilding job for lennon an inexperienced young manager we have seen some great football won most of the old firms. so im expecting better things from next season and im proud of the teams achievements . just hope i get to see the cup game im on holiday to in spain wen its played.

Ok Marky maybe you don't view it as a consolation prize but can you not understand why other fans may view it as such when compared to the bigger prize of the league, it will be wonderful to win the cup absolutely, but i can understand that in many fans eyes the priority lies with the league and not the cup.

The league has always been the biggest domestic prize though. That doesn't mean that the Scottish Cup needs to disregarded as a 'diddy cup' which I've heard plenty of people on here refer to it as. So, on that level, no I do not understand this new attitude towards the Scottish Cup at all.

In my opinion it is the rise of the Champions League has been a major factor in our younger fans placing less emphasis, and less importance, on the winning of the Scottish Cup.

I don't think we should ever rubbish our national Cup competition or feel nonplussed about winning it. But, as I said before, I suspect it's mostly the Celtic fans who are over 30 who would feel that way.

I'd be happy to see us win it but I don't I'd be celebrating it the same way I would if we had won the league. If we lose this league then it'll be difficult to pick my spirits up to celebrate the same.

I'm still licking the wounds after Wednesday and I am sure we all are .
I don't remember wanting to win the league so bad as this year with all thats gone on.

At the end of the day, its better to win the Scottish cup than * all.

Whatever happened to faithful through and through?

On the upside, there is a strong rumour that Thatcher is on the way out.

That would be my league title.:party:

I'm of the opinion that, if we win the Scottish Cup and don't win the league, the bhoys should enjoy themselves and the atmosphere for the day. If we show them how much we celebrate when they win the Scottish Cup, they'll be dreaming of winning the league. Then give them a nice summer break, make some adjustments and tweaks to the squad, and then get them right back into preseason training and ready for next year. What do we do when we fall down? We get back up.

Although it would be a conciliation prize. It's important for this group of players to win something and know what it feels like to be a Celtic player who wins.

    Important.:shamrock:
