Just reading Four four two and it says that the "red band around the top of Rangers' black socks are a literal representation of the Ibrox loyalist anthem, Billy boys". It says it's a myth. Has anyone else heard this ? If true, it just again reiterates the fact thay they're Scotland's shame.

It really wouldn't surprise me mate if it was true. It says thats why McCann and Negri were supposed to have rolled down their socks. Coincidence - I think not.

The only thing that matters is that their socks reek!

I bought FFT this morning, was reading that. Doubt it's true tbh. Interesting about the part with Amoruso, Negri and McCann.

I've heard the story. Doubt there's much truth to it, but with that scum you really can never be sure as it might seem too much of a coincidence.

This really is true about rangers' socks. . .They were changed through the height of the troubles in the 70's and 80's and brought back into play when Rangers signed their deal with Adidas. With the consultation and delight of rangers fans. . .This again is fact.

    * Advocaat did not like this, and hence the reason why he insisted Rangers wore white socks at every opportunity.

Lets be in no doubt here. The sectarianism within Rangers FC runs very deep. They see these kind of things as championing they're cause without any retrobution.

I must admit I heard that theory a few years ago but I never paid too much heed to it. That is until I think of Negri, Amoruso, McCann etc. and the Rangers kits of the 70s & 80s which featured mostly blue or red socks.

    What is your point ??

The lack of information is probably testamony to your lack of knowledge on the subject.

Do you think I want this to be the case ?? No I certainly do not, unfortunately it is the case as any hun with any grasp of they're clubs history will tell you. And they are quite proud of it.

If you want to live in ignorance to the fact that Rangers FC are a sectarian vehicle then good on ye!

Its nothing to do with "euphanisms"
