I've read the book and watched a few docs on telly. The stuff about the priory is all a hoax, but a lot of the documents mentioned in the book are real. It's another question of faith, another religion, if you believe it..great....if you don't...great. Personally, I think it could be true but impossible to prove.

Brilliant book but you have to remember that it is a fictional novel and nothing more.Dan Brown has been very clever using some factual resourses in his novel and has written one of the best thrillers for years. If you have not read the book yet read Angels and Deamons first as it introduces you to the Character Robert Langdon and is about the Illuminati another secret society at war with the Catholic church at the very highest level.A great read.

Not a bad read but nowhere near as good as the DaVinci Code or Angels and Demons. Quite interesting to think one small virus could do so much damage to a super computer.

if u want to find out where dan brown got his material from, read HOLY BLOOD, HOLY GRAIL(micheal baigent) brown took the author's factual research and put a fictional spin on it (made himself millions of $$$).
what all this is really about is the question of jesus' bloodline and if it exists today and what role did mary magdalene play in jesus' life.

The basis for that book was all a big hoax. The priory of Sion was a hoax made up by 3 french nutters. Holy Blood, Holy Grail was fiction paraded as fact.

It is supposedly fiction but it has pushed a lot of buttons in certain places and in peoples minds! I am caught between Religion and Nature at the moment!
