With the Kilmarnock game just days away we are without 3 key players. Naka, Boruc & McDonald will miss the first game of the season and Boruc may even miss the Champions' League qualifier. McDonald is suspended for the first two league games. Boruc is injured and Naka is just returning from Asia Cup duty with Japan.

Who are the replacements? Mark Brown is in for Boruc obviously, but I think Miller should get the chance to partner big Jan up front as he has impressed me in the pre-season games.

    What do you think guys?

McDonald is out for the first two games. After that I want him in. Killen, if I remember right he still isnt 100%.....So play Miller. Cant believe Im saying that.

And don't forget Pressley's suspended too...(thank you Jesus)
Would agree with Miller getting a run and would love to see Bjarnasson get Naka's place but it will be Hartley i reckon..

Don't really think McD is a key player. Somehow I think Killen will be the big surprise this season. Boruc and Naka are our 2 best players, but there's a good replacement with Brown. No one there to replace Naka though, but we would beat Killie even with our B team. :86:

All this Miller love.:84: Its really freaky to hear after being a lone voice in the wilderness all John the baptist style for months. I was getting sick of eating honey chilli locust! I think Magic has shown his edge has gone. Seeing as WGS does not seem to rate Deeks as a striker I think it really has to be Kenny for the next couple of games. I hope to * JJ is not wheeled out as a make-shift striker. Leave him to his bananas.

Naka is a problem. Maybe McGeady could switch to right wing and bring in Deek on the left. Mmm! [IMG]
My mane worry is the CL Qualifier. Boruc has the experience and skill required in a keeper at that level Brown has not. Maybe he'll do a Gordon Marshall a la Nou Camp.

Mark Brown will be great cover for Boruc so no worries thier.
Naka isnt that big a blow for these types of games but it does depend on who WGS selects to play, Hartley Donanti and Brown all in the centre leave a gaping hole on the right wing.
Mcdonald as looked extremely lively and cant w8 for him to get his actual competitive debut for us. Right now Majic isnt even in with a shout so i would play Miller who has been electric nabed a goal and 1 or 2 assists. There is also Riordan but he will be on the becnh likely suprise suprise

Play Killen . Give him a chance and see what he does with VOH . Two big guys upfront and Deek and McGeady on the wings will get crosses in . Miller is a wee waster

24 starts and 14 sub appearances
Whatever way you look at it 8 goals is a shambolic return :celt_2::52:

I think it was just to give him a run out.
Miller is the man. He'll be saying 'Gerrit up ye!' to a few people this season. You watch.
