Tattoo ideas

18 in March so wanting to get first tattoo around then- hoping for something Celtic orientated or some based on my radical left wing beliefs if anyone knows any decent ideas for them? Cheers folks.

 

Best going in to a shop, tell them a rough idea and they can help you decide. I'd say whatever you go for wait a few months before you get it and make sure you still want it.

Where you looking to get it, on your arm?

 

Don't let anyone that isn't a hired professional in a shop do it and make sure it's something you really want. I've only had mine 11 months and I've been thinking of something to cover it for the last 4.

Believe me, paying £60 a laser session as I'm doing at the moment isnt how I want to be spending my money.

I've been thinking about getting one for a while. Thinking of getting broony type one on arm. Kid's hand print. Don't know how to go about it though. Missus due in 4 days, so hopefully soon.

 

What is it you're getting taken off ? Would it not be cheaper and less painful to just cover it up ?
Guy in my work has had a few taken off and said it's horrible.

 

Yes but it's a big black bit of tribal that is impossible to cover up unless I get the whole upper part of my arm tattooed black. :smiley-laughing002:

It needs to be considerably faded before a cover up can be done.

Ahh, I see lol. My mate had his missus' name tattooed on his arm, in massive font. Long story short, she was a cheating cow and now he has a huge dragon covering near enough his whole arm.

If you look in the tats thread on here, there's a tat of an old style Celtic player smoking a pipe. Best I've seen. Top of the arm.

Always fancied the praying hands and rosary myself but I don't know if that's consistent with Catholicism (North? ). Heard we're not allowed tats but that might just apply to Jews.

I've got pretty much a half sleeve all black with golden eagle quite big on outer forearm perched on rocks and away in the mountains on the inside of my forearm.

Needs touching up quite a bit and carried on(eventually going up and close to a full sleeve), fairly happy with what I got as it was a cover up on * one I got as a mid teenager. Still though, want to go somewhere else for my finishing up as although it was decent, think I could get more for my money and a better finish somewhere else, it's finding the *..
