The Brazilian has noticeable that the opportunity to dispute motivates him again the League of Champions.

Rough translation from spanish to english from today on the eurosport website, it sounds to me like he is coming to celtic and they are the first to know about it,:50:

I knew about Mowbray 2 weeks before he was paraded at celtic park and have the same funny feeling that this could be spot on aswell.

Did you put a bet on?

Sylvinho would be a great signing and would finally solve our left back problem.

I agree with the left-back problem and that he's a quality player but isn't he 35 years old ?? Are you thinking stop-gap until the position can be filled properly ????

He actually wouldnt solve out LB problem. i agree with henrik he is 35 as good as he is we would get what a year out of him and even at that he wont be all that pacey will he?

Not convinced by this if it true.

he could pass on his experience to young Misun, who could eventually take over the position when Sylvinho retires

I reckon we'd get atleast 2 years out of him. He looks a very fit guy and I reckon he takes care of himself so could easily go for another 2 years. Just watching him in the CL final shows he's still good enough to play at that level. Would certainly give Naylor a kick up the * and I think we need a few older faces around the dressing room to pass on experience to the younger guys.

I do agree with that - I have watched Misun regularily in the reserves and he was quality, just needs the experience to gain confidence.

yes i did 50 quid at 4/1. That was a done deal though, i would not put a large sum on this, even if i could. There are to many things that can go wrong with player transfers.

Aye, shame about Misun getting injured, looks a great player in the making.

Sylvinho could be great for a couple of seasons until Misuns regualr first team quality, always feel a bit anxious signing playes who have basically done it all already and are getting on...always worried they might just be looking for a last pay cheque

Brilliant signing if we can get him. He was immense in the Champions League final and that is the biggest showpiece in club football against the BEST players.

Are you lot joking?? He could be used as a stop-gap until we find a good young left back but so what if he's 35? He played in the Champions League Final against Man Utd so if he's good enough for that he's good enough for the SPL! We would still get a good couple of seasons out of him if not more. Look at Davie Weir and Christian Daily ffs. Sylvinho is a far better player than those 2 and would probably still be better than them when he's 50!!
