Summer transfer updates

Players linking with Celtic (Summer Transfer Window).

OK, we have Gary Caldwell (today he had a nightmare ) and Kenny Miller, he scores today against Reading - very nice goal.


I've heard that Strachan will got 7 millions fo transfers. Willhelmsson, Melberg, Harte ad Trabelsi are all linked with transfer to Celtic. Also Mario Melchiot and Damarcus Beasley.


Any thoughts?

 

id gladly take harte, trabelsi and melchiot at celtic to sharpen the defence....

Melchiot had a stinker yesterday, I never really rated him. But thats just my humble opinion.

 

every player has stinkers mate, but if WGS feels the player is right for celtic, then aint going 2 complain ;P

 

Would take Melberg, reminds me of Mjallby a bit, Harte, I'm not sure about, is he better than Camara? Wilhemson looks a decent player, but the transfer fee could be a sticking point, Trabelsi would be a good signing as would Beasley, not too keen on Melchiot though.
I'm sure they'll be twists and turns all summer long, hopefully it won't all be left to the last minute.

 

I can't believe you compared Ian Harte to Mo Camara. I'd take all them bar Melchiot, we have Wilson and Telfer, we dont need another

 

I'm likin some of them targets, however, melchiot is a joke hes been awful all season and i think hes becoming past it and trabelsi is a much more attractive option. Mellberg is also pretty eratic in defence , although he can be useful, he was rotten as they conceded four against Everton yesterday and i feel we need a more consistent defender. I've also heard a few whispers about Theo Walcott, the 16 year old wonderkid who Arsenal signed from Southampton, is available for loan next season as Wenger looks for him to get experience and would be a great option as Arsenal would agree with him going to the Spl away from Premiership rivals and for European experience-possibility!

GS could dig a little bit in polish ekstraklasa again. There are surely some players worth signing and the money won't be that big for sure, lol.

 

melchiot is afucking * he always has been since his first match he played for ajax, crap defender..
trabelsi is a pure class player on a bosman.. so i guess he is not 2 keen on a move to cp
and for beasley what i've seen from him i think he will be nothing more than a fringe player..

I seriously doubt Robbie would move away from Liverpool now..

Wallcott is too young & weak to make an impact on the SPL.

Delap is a waste of money.

Melchiot is not needed. We have Wilson & Telfer as backup.

Trabelsi could do a job.. but he is a right back..

Beasley.. good potential.. fast.. but I don't think it will happen.

Olof Mellberg.. quality & the age to be a realistic signing. I like this one.

Ian Harte.. easily better than Camara & Wallace put together. Yes please.

Willhelmson.. quality player & realistic but may be expensive.. we could get better for the money in positions that are more.. needed

Im no sure about harte,he might be good tho,but hes playing in a spanish 2nd division side the now I think so the pace up here might be a bit of a shock.I dunno how challenging the spanish 2nd div is though.Walcotts a good shout imo,hopefully better than aliadiere anyway.Wish we could scour the brazilian market a wee bit,some of their young talent is crazy (theres this wee guy called kerlon,hes 17 n he can dribble with his head,i dont think people would know what the * to do with him) ,add a bit of flair to the side but the work permits get in the way of that,most people get turned down unless theyve played for the national team

get trabselsi, ajax arent going to be in europe and theyll want to sell him as hes getting older. so hopefully we can get him on board.

Cant see Zigic coming. He will be * expensive, because teams like arsenal are after him as well.
