    Alright Lads/Ladies

One for the students and ex students out there, the interest rate from 1st September 2009 – 31st August 2010 is 0% on ICR loans and -0.4% on old style loans (pre 1998). Good news for all :bbpd:

Lets hope this lot hump scotland's shame tonight n give us somethin else to smile about!

    Hail Hail :shamrock:

I have over $60K in student loans. I have to start paying them back in Sept. I believe. So, basically, I will be paying them off for the rest of my life.

It's not like something you do selfishly or consciously. If you want an education you gotta pay the price.

Worth it in the end I say.

I suppose so but its a lot of debt to get into, I hope all your educations went well and were worth the money and you all get great jobs :50:

How does it end up costing as much do you need to pay to get into University? or are all yous maddies eating caviar and drinking champagne every night :97: is the debt all from having to pay bills and not being able to work while studying to get any money?

Two of my cousins went to University ones a nurse and ones a college tutor but ive never really thought about how long it took them or anything like that. Sadly ones is going through a tough time at the moment and considering her future after something tragic happened.:shamrock:

The debt is from accomadation or travel, books, study materials and partying. To be honset the £7,000 a year only just covers drink.
