    A real life Roy of the Rovers if I've ever seen one, I am privileged to have seen this lad play for my team throughout his career, arguably our finest ever player (Him and Dalglish, it splits many peoples views), what an unbelievable player, at his peak, nobody came close, touch, power, pace, strength, accuracy, everything.

    Put the lad Right Back, and he'd probably be one of the finest Right Backs around, see 2005 for an example, has Serginho ever recovered? Without him during the last decade, we'd not have won half the stuff we have.

    Zidane claimed he was the best midfielder that he has saw, and I'd hardly argue, a 1 club man, a lad who could of easily gone onto sign for any club in the world at the time where he dominated each and every club he come up against almost single handedly, but showed commitment to us, our captain, our man, take a bow Steven Gerrard.

    If ever there was a match to sum up Gerrards career with us, it was this, carried us for many a years and I for one dread the day he hangs up his boots, an idol throughout my life and one who'll simply never be replaced, the lad is a one off..

    Refs are far more lenient imo because he's a big english star. The others mentioned are far worse though, especially Gerrard and Terry, both seem untouchable for refs.

    He's right, you always see Ferdinand harassing the refs trying to get them to send a player off or give Manure a penalty. He gets away with murder because he's England captain. (Was.)

    I don't think Gerrard is dirty on the pitch tbh, Carragher is a dirty * though haha, not gonna be bias towards him.

    Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry and Ferdinand are the ones that get away with anything. Shearer used to be the same, remember him and the PFA lobbying Lennon to get him to defend Shearer for stamping on him so he wouldn't miss England's World Cup?

    Gerrard was a cracking player, has been poor the last few seasons since Liverpool finished 2nd really. He also dives with a regularity that a foreign player would be lambasted for in England.

    One of the best box to box midfielders I've seen play. It's crazy that a player of his quality has never won a league title.

    Does dive a lot though.

    He doesnt do it any more than anyone else and no one else gets punished for it so neither should he, and it happens in every league in the world and dam near every game when theres a big call to make so that arguement fails.
