St Pauli Celtic party 2014

Anyone got any idea what date this will be on next year? In a bit of a panic that it might clash with my young lads confirmation!.. Hate to miss it... The confirmation I mean!!! :smiley-laughing002:

 

Nothing confirmed yet, there are a few weekends being considered - around mid-end of March start of April.

 

2014 St Pauli/Celtic party has been confirmed,
Saturday 29th March. Looking forward to it already
St Pauli will play Greuther Furth that weekend
and the Dom (big carnival)is in town that weekend

Planning on heading to this. Will be a brilliant few days.

Been a couple of times but not for about 4 or 5 years.

 

What's it like? I've seen videos and bits that look class, but is it genuinely well attended or just a handful of people?

Nah it's good. I just had a look at the thread from last year and they said there was 400 Celtic fans there which is probably a few more than the last time I went.

There will probably be fans from other teams as well. One year I went there was a load of Villareal fans went.I have also seen them play Gurth Further twice which is who they are playing this year and there fans were very friendly and were drinking with the Celtic and St Pauli fans.

The Jolly Roger Bar and Fanladen don't take much filling up and you will be made to feel very at home in either. The gig on the Saturday night in the Knust is always good (unless you are a new Celtic fan that doesn't like Republican songs of course.)

Then there is the game.It's pretty hard to predict how St Pauli will play one week to the next but I can guarantee no-one will have a pop at you for singing or standing up.

Nah game date still to be decided. Will be anything from Friday night, Saturday or Sunday afternoon or Monday night and won't know maybe for another month - and folk moan about the scheduling of SPL games!

Only one game is a Monday night game but they will be getting down to the crunch in the league and St Pauli-Furth is one of the picks of that week - currently St Pauli third, Furth second. 1860-Koln is also on though so hopefully they choose that or some relegation head to head.

As for the weekend as a whole, will be superb for you if you've never been before. Personally I preferred the earlier ones when not so many went, think the first couple I went to less than 50 combined travelled and you had a famous German punk band, Slime, playing second fiddle to Spirit of Freedom!

 

Tickets for the gig now sold out according to St.Pauli CSC... Any news on matchday yet?

advised by stpauli1916, to post on here, going over the same weekend as you boys,other than the big game are any of you going to any other matches that weekend? nice to meet up for a few shandies, seeing as we are soft southerners, all support local non league team leamington fc, no big clubs,

 

Pretty gutted I'm not gonna make this. Gonna be something i put down to do next year, will try and convince the sister in law's boyfriend to come with me.
