Rubbish i was on after both CL games and i did praise them.....but then again am not as sad as you trying to find out about folk on here as if your some forum hero trying to tell the masses like everythings rosy in the house....Like i said before the match ended you could put your mortgage on Lennon mentioning that the players seemed to have wed on their minds ???? well am sorry but he's the manager and it's up to him to tell them if i see ANY drop in performance that your off the park......obviously he's NOT doing that. We were lucky to beat Aberdeen,Draw at RC and Hibs....It's not acceptable this from a celtic team.

I think in a way this is it. With the players, it seems to be a subconscious thing that just because the filth are no more then the league will be won at a canter.

If that's not the case then I think they need to prove that and actually come out and play like they mean to win.

Shocking, pedestrian perormance today. Forrest and Izzy were well below par. Far too many hopeful long balls and slack passing. We'll get over it though, all will be forgotten come Wednesday.

You really expect him to slate the players in front of the media? A media just dying for a bad news story?

And forum hero my *, I'm just not going let slide folk slating our manager every chance they get, a guy who puts his life on the line to manage this club, a guy who ripped apart the Mowbray debacle, built a young exciting team and came within a whisker of winning the league in his first year, showed up well in the EL, won the league in his second and took us into the CL.

And people think I'm just going to sit back when they call for his head and call him clueless because of a slow start to the domestic season.

    Aye right you are...

I guarantee that any other spl team that had our players would be unbeaten. We should be winning against spl teams comfortably without a manager. it's the basics letting the team down. We need to pressure teams into mistakes work as a unit to win it back it's not rocket science if we did that every game for 90 mins we would be unbeaten. And it would get bums on seats wk in wk out. And then Lenny can maybe start to bring the thunder back :97:

The attitude of the players is honking right now. Georgios Samaras let the cat out the bag the other week when he admitted the players have been letting their minds wander towards the Champions League when they should have been concentrating on SPL matches. This is unprofessional and it simply will not do at a club like Celtic.

We have a better team on paper than any other side in the SPL but that counts for little if the players don't have the right attitude when they step on to the pitch. If you don't have a professional attitude then you can lose to anybody on any given day. SPL sides may lack in quality but they don't lack in application or desire to win, it's up to the Celtic players to match that level of application and show even more of a desire to win. It is also Neil Lennon's job to kick the players arses if they're not showing that desire to win.

    Get the finger out Celtic.

Certainly sounds like he did. Has the players bang to rights.

Probably a good thing for him to say he won't answer any champions league questions before spl games anymore, it's clearly had an effect on the players.

Todays performance was the poorest for a while. It has to be a wake up call for most if not all the players. The performance stinks of an attitude that the league is already won. If anybody believed that we would be given the league on a plate is wrong. We will have to fight for it, and raised our performance levels in the league. This is the group of players that got us to the Champions league they just dont get * overnight. Nothing wrong with the tactics, nothing wrong with the team selection just the right attitude was missing. Hopefully Lenny has ripped a few * after fulltime and the players need to look at themselves. Game gone now just got to move on to the next...............Benfica, Champions league.....bring it on !!!

It definitely seems to be that way, mate. Can see the way that they have played - especially today - that it's like their minds weren't on the job at hand.

We know that it's a new experience for a lot of the players but they need to learn to play by that old cliché "focus on one game at a time".

I wouldn't like to be any of those players in that dressing room today, that's for sure :smiley-laughing002:

Sorry but i dont agree with this, in the past when we had great players like the 04' season we went undefeated, but thats because we were far, far better than the other sides, this current celtic team is not as good so you cant expect them to win every game.

I don't mind that we lost. I hope we drop more points, actually. Then we might actually have a title race come April/May. No title race = no excitement.
