I think if the SPL wanted to promote the game properly the best thing it could do would be to bring the huns to paradise to potentially win the league,it would also give some meaning to the fixture,we would be * bent on stopping them and they'd want to rub it in, If the boot was on the other foot Id love to go to mordor and win it,the other thing about this whole situation with the game on a tuesday night is that Celtic V Rangers is the jewel in the crown of televised football for the SPL,that game will kick off at 4 am in australia on a wednesday morning when most people will naturally be asleep and going to work a few hours later,in north america, the power house support of both clubs itll be lunch time on tuesday afternoon-again when most will be at work.
A game of that should be given stature,it should be made into the biggest blockbuster it can be and at a time suitable to all the fans throughout the world, saturday or Sunday allows most fans to watch it and the spice should be added to the occasion aswell

It doesnt work,it never has really worked,no ones ever happy with it.(the split)
you don't go hiding when the going gets tough, you come out fighting the whole situation needs a rethink,we need major PR people to help look at and promote the Scottish game, the pundits need to stop critising every move thats made,The SPL/SFA should consider investing in and help build a covered stadium in the north east of Scotland helping the likes of Dundee Utd and Aeberdeen its freeeezzing in those stadiums,no wonder they dont get fans, the prices also need to be substantially decreased to help aswell, even if you let people in for free in some of them, theyll still buy pies and bovrils. The SPL is broke it needs fixing, solutions not moaning

Do you really want to run the risk of those f*&ks turning up and potentially winning the title on our turf? Do you want to listen to the blue monkeys carrying on afterward? Could you imagine the potential pics that we would have to put up with for years? Its sweet winning the title in enemy territory (I'm a Sydney FC fan who made the trip to Melbourne 3 weeks ago and I'm still gloating) but I can tell you I don't want them having potentially that oppourtunity, especially with how little we've offered to stop them.

You dont live in fear of what might happen, hiding it away in the corner is balls, and our day would come at there stye aswell, infact it would make us * bent on revenge if it did happen adding even more spice

That wouldnt exactly be fair that they have to win one game to win the title after being like 16pts clear, if that what you mean.

Well said, stuff like that builds character and makes stronger players who thrive on pressure,it certainly seperates the strong from the weak thats for sure

I think he meant that we should play them last game of the season as most seasons come down to the final game. It would run the risk of escalated violence, but I think it would make things more interesting and more exciting.

Don't fear them, I just don't want you all who would be there to have to listen to them in our stadium. I've stood in Ibrox after a loss, it's *. It's bad enough watching them walk around in Sydney with their blueshit shirts on, I'd hate to see what would happen this time around in Glasgow. And at the end of the day, the last thing Scottish football needs in this strange era its in is headlines about bashings at Celtic Park

When they lose tims get hurt, when they win tims get hurt. I guess it's routine that at the end of each season, all the Celtic supporters are extra cautious and watch out for each other just in case some bluenose ned decides to attempt to prove his manhood.

I'm all for it! They're taking the excitement away from derby day, what better than a derby day to win / prevent the title. If we were 13 points clear we certainly wouldn't be complaining about an opportunity to win the league at Ibrox.

the police have refused to sanction it. There is nothing the SPL can do when the police say it has to be on a certain date. If the SPL goes against that then no fans will be allowed entry as there will be no police

aye i hear that all the time now but its *

look what happened years ago the fixture went ahead

theres no appetite the clubs dont want it the league doesn't want it the sfa doesn't want it and ofcourse the police dont want it

but if there was integrity in the draw for the split and they stuck to the way the fixtures came out then police would just have to accept it

i'm not that bothered to be honest

there would inevitably be trouble and the thought of police with batons hitting celtic fans wouldn't do our clubs reputation any favours

the point is the police don't have to accept it - if they say no then the game doesn't go ahead. Football matches can't have supporters with a police presence. It's not going to happen and thats the end of it

Police should not be allowed to dictate when a football match takes place, thats ridiculous.
The SPL are selling a product,we all love it when the heart flutters, thats why being a supporter at big match's is exhilarating when you win and damned right depressing when you don't. I dont understand the fear thing,be a man and take it on the chin and then just get on with it.
