Whats the script with Snus?

Seems to be fast becoming all the rage. Noticed that both Lenny and Mjallby use it.

 

What the * a snus?

 

Scandinavian tobacco that is placed in the space between your gum and upper lip.

Foul stuff.

Lenny will have picked the habit up off Mjallby.

 

Use it all the time.

 

If you're not Arnold Schwarzeneger and in a movie scene, then you should not put tobacco in your mouth.

Go anywhere in Scandinavia and spat-out used snus is all over the place. The floors, the urinals, the floors and seats of buses and trains, stuck to your shoe, ashtrays, flower pots, the pavement.

It * stinks as well.

 

Is this not the same as chewing tobacco?
Or what is the difference?

 

Snus looks like a small teabag.

 

I use it all the time, have a Norwegian pal that introduced it to me and I've been importing it ever since. Got a couple of my mates hooked on it too. Helped me quit smoking as well which was a major plus point. Also lasts way longer, brings a more satisfying nicotine rush, doesn't make your breath smell and is way better for your health.

Brilliant stuff.

Sorry to burst your bubble but people who use snus stink of snus. I retch every time someone who uses snus leans close to me. It's a particularly sour smell which turns my stomach - like bad coffee breath.

Smokers don't smell as bad as those who use snus in my opinion.

 

Really? Having lived in Sweden you may know better than me but I can easily say I've never smelt it off anyone's breath once. The stuff is fairly pungent when you open up the box admittedly. Might just be the brand/flavour I use.

Aye, could be. There is a mind-boggling range of snus available - ask any Scandinavian who uses it and they will happily bore you for three hours about which ones they've tried, liked, hated or want to try. :smiley-laughing002:

Snus is pretty much an ever-present stench in any public place in Norway at least, at least in the east of the country in and around Oslo.

 

Sounds disgusting... can it also stain your teeth?
