Tony Mowbray?s changes left me baffled - Evening Times | Sport | Editor's Picks (ignore)

Ok so hes clearly bitter but I think he has point.

    Some quotes

“Would Robbie Keane have come through the door if I’d not left? That’s the question,” he mused. “I think the money they got for me obviously helped that deal go through. It certainly made sure I was forgotten about very quickly.”

“I wasn’t necessarily not playing at Celtic,” he explained. “I think I only missed a couple of games. But it was becoming more and more frustrating that I wasn’t getting enough time on the park.

“That did concern me a lot. It was something which we spoke about, and in the end both parties agreed it would be good for me to move on.”

Oz was taking it personally when the hook appeared. From a distance, he views it somewhat differently and said: “I think the explanation is there for everyone to see still. “Even with me not at the club, Tony Mowbray likes to make changes at that period in games, for reasons unknown to players who will question, if you’re having not a bad game, why are you taking me off?

“It was not something I was completely happy about, and I’d be honest about it and say. But, he’s the boss and, accordingly, he does what he sees as right. You’re not always going to agree with it, though.”

He must not be getting paid enough if he's got to cash in with storys like this.

For me making a sub earlier at the point Tony does is acceptable, too many times in the past with previous managers i have been i anger at how late they make subs, how is someone going to come on in the 85th min and make an instant impact? least of they come on bout the 60th there is no excuse not to make an impact.

I wish Skippy would just shut up now, scored some important goals for us and most peoples opinion on him are good ones, they will soon change if he keeps going.

quite frankly, i think he's acting like a little *, i liked Skippy and i still do but i wish he would shut the * up, the simple fact is he is no longer a Celtic player and should stop sniping from afar...particulary hunnish behaviour :38:

this is true, he risks becoming a Charlie Nicholas kind of character if he keeps it up

so skippy, please, from one of many who enjoyed seeing you in the hoops, let it go ffs!

just what i'd expect from the wee *. while he was here everything was always all about him and even after he left it's all about him. did the money celtic picked up from his sale help pay for keanos wages, yes. was it a deliberate ploy to get us to forget about him? :56: The referee's don't want us to forget, they call Keano offside even when he's not to remind us of the good old days when skippy had at least 8 offside calls a game. Get a grip son

No need for him to keep talking to the media about celtic. He's gone, simple.
Even though his main point is true he should not be creating more bad press about Celtic,. If he is that much of a fan he should try and not make an already poor situation worse

Personally I think its because Strachan left and TM knew he wast good enough to fit in to his system so he left him out, he had a good first season but under TM everything stopped at him his first touch was shocking, always offside, too greedy and always moaned personally I haven't missed him even if we didn't sign Keane I wouldn't have missed him

There really is no need for that, he was a fantastic player for his regardless of what you think of him as a person.

1st time fair enough he felt he shouldn't have left and "had a bad taste in his mouth" about it all.

but there is no need to attack us a second time

You cannot argue with some of the goals he scored but I always hated the way he moaned about almost everything. I don't think it helps moaning, passion fair enough, but moaning?

It's a shame he has resorted to touting with the press, what next eh?

He spent the majority of his time here moaning and now that he's gone he's still at it.

That sounds very bitter, would he have been happier if a few tears were shed over him leaving. Good luck to him at Boro but really..shut the * up.

fair dues then. it is what i'd expect from him though. and i'd also expect it won't be the last time he has an outburst about celtic. he's like the burd that you split up with but won't stop ringing you up or seeking out everyone you know to complain about what she didn't like about you, know what I mean? it's enough already just move on.

on the other hand, keano's like the burd that is way out of your league and you know she's gonna get rid of you in six weeks time so you're just making the best of it while ya can

Yip i know what you mean. I think hes just genuinely gutted that he doesnt play for his boyhood team anymore. Just letting out a bit of frustration perhaps.
