I was listening to Clyde tonight and Hugh Keevins mentioned that "sectarian" songs were heard at Love St yesterday.I believe Keith Jackson commented on this as well today.I cant say I heard anything untoward.Anybody shed any light on this?

alot of people in the scottish media have always had trouble distinguishing between irish songs and sectarian songs unfortunately, if they want to hear sectarian songs they should go to castle greyskull, they do it every week and even give * salutes

They were on about chants about Paul Gascoigne, I never heard then say anything about sectarian songs.
TBH Keevins and Broadfoot described Celtic fans behaviour are "impeccable" so fair play to them they gave us some credit, but they said it was unacceptable to chant bout Gazzas mental health.

Mate,I dont take anything seriously on these shows.I find some of it pretty funny at times actually.I certainly dont take anything Keevins or any of the other hacks who contribute at face value. You are right, they try to provoke a reaction to generate interest in the show.Simple as that.

awrite singin bout gazza's mental health isnt big or clever but they better highlight rangers fans man. Wen i was at killie park watchin rangers rule brittania and * salutes were on show. and also follow follow which is ten times worse than the holy goalie song in terms of sectarianism.

Some Irish newspapers reported IRA chants. I didn't hear anything of that sort being sung.

There were calls to the radio stating there were sectarian chants aimed at McGeady. Funnily enough these same journalists who say they heard dodgy songs from the Celtic end, said they did not hear what the St Mirren fans were singing.

It's like the time I emailed Bill Leckie, (who always replies btw) after one of his regular rants about Artur Boruc. I mentioned to him about the time McManus was lying on the Ibrox turf with a serious head injury after a clash with Cousin, and McCoist and Cousin were standing at the touchline laughing. Leckie said he didn't see them, nor did he know anything about it. This was approx. 2 months after the event.
