This is where the arguement gets made that you can have both.. It starts with bringing in better players as they have better skill levels , better movement , better passing , more composure and other attributes that players inherited didn't have..

They say a solid team is built on a solid defence so that's where the improvement is needed.. Other aspects of our play range from decent to good and occasionaly brilliant but I don't see a specific label to give the team as yet.. (Not a nice one anyway)
People tend to think Mowbray doesn't care about the defence and only wants silky football but Mowbray obviously thought the way to improve the defence was to replace the likes of Caldwell and Mcmanus with Hooiveld and Rogne (And Ramis had he signed) so I hope that indicates that he believes bringing better defenders in means conceding less goals..
We haven't seen enough of them to make a judgement though , and only time will tell..

TBH I think this thing about how we've played excellent football under Mowbray is a total myth.

I don't see much difference between this and under WGS, difference is we were winning under Strachan.

We got results with WGS but the * football emptied the stadium.
With the silky football the fans are coming back and so will the results.(hopefully).

In our current situation, and the tradition of SPL as a league where nice football doesn't work, we can't ask for both. We're trying to play nice right now, but it doesn't work. Results are more important than the way how we play.

Exactly, surely we can achieve both we just need to learn how to hold onto a lead.

I'm afraid that, in order to make the defense play better, we'll have to sacrifice something in attack. Strachan wasn't afraid of this, because he knew it had to be done. So, no, we can't have both.

If most fans think he's not doing a good enough job he's paid to do, then we have every right to call him whatever we want.

If you failed at your job would you be surprised to be undermined by your employers and sacked?

Anyone who thinks you can't play good football AND win trophies knows nothing about football.

We're not even getting good silky football as consolation at the moment, there's no real structure to our play

Results, no brainer really. Nothing better than watching winning football. I personally couldn't give a * if we're not playing 'Arsenal style' soccer.

Strachan's Football was Dire Last Season

I still believe that under Mowbray the football is definetly more entertaining.

Defence is still * this yr and last!

    Enough said!
