Should we go in for Stokes?

I know Strachan wanted him before but 20 goals for Hibs aint bad, i think he would be a decent striker if keane and kamara dont stay.

Also samaras should be punted

nah. He seems to have a ceiling at Hibs/Falkirk sort of level. A lot of good Hibs players are not up to getting a spot at us or Rangers. Personally I rated Hibs Fletcher far higher and I think that is borne out when you compare their careers in England. Fletcher is a regular starter in the EPL and top scorer for them. Something classy about Fletcher.

Hibs would want every penny they could get out of us like Scott Brown and you couldn't really blame them. There's no way they'd sell him for 1.5m and expect to get a decent replacement for that. It would be like Man Utd offering us 2m for McGeady.

 

No interest in him whatsover as a Celtic player.

 

not bad wee player , but if we want the spl to get better id rather we left him be , hibs are building a good team there plus theyll have a new stand up next year so things are looking up for them , hed be squad player if he joined us

 

We would be as well just bringing Sheridan back if we want an SPL goal scorer. But I think we'll be looking outside the SPL for a striker.

Stokes has scored 18 in the SPL and sheridan has scored 4. a big differance

 

i know what he means though done no bad when he finally broke into the team and was unfairly loaned out IMO when others should have gone out before him

 

Fair enough:icon_mrgreen:, he's young and got potential. Hibs would prob value him close to Fletcher. We'd be better looking down south or on the continent. Could we actually sign that Rapid striker for what Hibs would value him?
