This is LGB+ statistics for Scotland. Quite an interesting read. Shows that the UK is the third most supportive state in Europe (behind Belgium and Malta) in regards to attitudes towards LGB+ people having the same human rights as others (of course they should).

Page 28 is a particular highlight, with an ever increasing amount of people waking up to the fact that same * relationships aren't wrong and less people are stupid enough to think they are.

Can't believe there's ANYONE who still thinks that same * relationships are wrong.

Though I do live in a part of Ireland that still has a lot of backward views towards homosexuality but I'd say we're "getting there".

Ireland (well 3/4's of it) endorsed equal marriage in a referendum last year. Was a big moment in Irish history, nearly every single county in the twenty-six counties endorsed it. Hopefully it is soon extended to our LGBT brothers and sisters living in the six counties.

I've never really understood why some people are so obsessed with policing other people's relationships.

Ireland did not vote 3/4 in favour of it!

    I didn't say that.

I was referring to the fact only part of Ireland got a say. Twenty-six counties is roughly 3/4's of Ireland's national territory.

Is there one genuine non-religious reason why anyone would be against same * relationships?

It contributes towards low birth rates? Or it's 'unnatural'?

*these are both answers someone gave me to that very question.

Low birth rates is a good thing though? But does the amount of same * relationships even have an impact on population growth?

And the whole it's unnatural debate is pretty redundant, take a look around at the world while we sit in, sending electronic messages and pictures through the air to the other side of the planet or we can step aboard an aluminium tube and blast ourselves through the air at 30.000ft with jet engines at 600mph

And people want try and say the feelings between two human beings are unnatural? :giggle1:

Being homosexual is far more natural than some of the food people consume.

Maybe they simply find the thought disgusting. It's a reason, even if it isn't justified.

That's totally justified as it's subjective.

I think people * on each other is disgusting though but if consenting adults want to do it, what's it got to do with me?

    It's just prejudice.

Being disgusted or offended by something isn't a justified argument in regards to basic human rights.

It's not a reason for not allowing it, no.

@Minty how can I find this statistics for Bulgaria (if there is any). I have the feeling that we are one of the gayest country at the Balkans ffs.

PS. I don't care about homosexuals.
