Seeding for Champions League

Fingers crossed for a result tonight and all being well we will qualify, I have heard that we can end up in Pot 3 should certain results go our way. Does anyone know what needs to happen tonight for us to end up in Pot 3?

 

We can't now, needed Anderlecht to get knocked out last night. Unfortunately PSG have moved from pot 4 in to pot 3 so could end up with Barca, Man City, PSG

We need cluj to win, dynamo kiev(?) to lose. I think

Cluj have a good lead going into tonight, but Monchengladbach need a miracle, they've got a tougher task than Helsingborg do. There's only one tie really still in the balance so this is what we're looking at for tomorrow's draw

Been to barca a few times and if I'm honest it's not the best trip IMO

Porto, Schalke and Galatasary or Fenerbache would be some great away days and I still think we'd have half a chance of going through.

That said, the number of stories my stepdad's told me about Paris in 95, I'd love to draw them, would be a great away trip

PSG have been rotten so far this season, I think they'll pick up but they're not looking good, I'd much rather face them than Juve, they're the team to avoid in pot 3.

We can't draw Porto and Braga, each group can only have one club from each country, I'd gladly swap Porto for AC Milan, they're in for a terrible season

 

Arsenal, not sure, and Spartak (I want to see MCGEADY so hopefully they go through),

 

Barcelona Man City and PSG is just our luck

Mestalla's a shitehole. It was absolutely boggin when I went there

 

As I've stated on the appropriate Champions League thread for this, we realistically needed AEL Limassol to knock out Anderlecht last night and despite being 9 minutes away from doing so, they failed. Therefore, the only chance we have is if Borussia Monchengladbach thrash Dynamo Kiev by 3 goals or more in Ukraine, along with CFR Cluj not losing at home to Basel. It won't happen so aslong as we make it, Pot 4 it'll be and hopefully the easiest possible group we can get.

 

I can see us drawing Juve btw

 

If we're in Pot 4, which is 95% likely, then I hope and pray we avoid Juventus and PSG from Pot 3.

 

Barca and Valencia cant be in the same group mate Same as Porto and Braga.

Agree, need to avoid PSG/Juve in pot 3 though.
