Season ticket report in the SUn

Read in the Sun the other day that Celtic are cracking down on people signing their season tickets over to their kids and then going themselves to save money. They said that they are putting people on the turnstiles to check that the tickets actually belong to the people who are going and that they will be going round the seats checking too. IF this is the case I am snookered cause I just signed my ticket over to my 1 year old daughter to save money. I cant see it happening though. I think it might just be a story put out to scare people off from doing it. I cant imagine them employing one extra person per turnstile to check tickets and I cant imagine how they can chekc 60,000 seats in the space of 90 mins. I think I should be ok but starting to worry because it said those who are caught doing it will be banned from the ground. I blame John Reid..lol What do you all think?

 

when you go in the turnstile the light flashes orange if its a concession ticket but i dont think the stewards care much

 

ill be * too because i use someone elses season ticket every week but its an adults ticket i use & i should only be a concession so i hope its not true, really cant see that happening though

 

I'm sure they won't really mind if you're a concession using an *'s ticket - the club would be gaining money because of that, if anything.

 

That will never happen there is no way they will go around every seat checking.

 

Sounds very much like scaremongering to me, I doubt the club would waste vast resources by checking each turnstile and seat.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

If they think they are losing 250k a year because of it they will do something. Look how they argue over contracts!

From what I gather they said they are going to check the seats that have downgraded from adults to children.

That`s not 60,000 seats. Only a few thousand at most. A quick zoom in with the CCTV would confirm if a wean or * was sitting in that seat.

It might be scare mongering, but if it`s going to cost them money you can bet your * they`ll do something about it.

I bought two 17 year old season tickets for me and my mate but they are both under my name this should be ok should it?

And i am 17 so..

If too many people are doing this, maybe the club will reconsider their good-will gesture of lowering season ticket prices for certain age groups next season.
That would be bad news.

 

I do hope whoever is doing this gets caught it * things up for people like me who actually are of correct age to get reduced prices when adults are being cheapskates buying concession tickets

Exactly quigley13, all the people that our doing this are stealing from the club they claim to support.
