    I can't quite believe how much celtic fans underrate this guy, every time he plays he tries his hardest, he runs around the park with good pace putting in a tackle and puts the opposing players off their game. He is pretty good going forward too, can go by players when he wants to.

    Of course he can be a bit stupid sometimes and get himself sent off for nothing but i can remember lennon doing that.

    I completely agree, he's not outstanding but he's a really good player with a lot of dig and energy and a lot of us take him for granted.

    He is not pretty good going forward hence the reason his goal and assist stats are possibly the worst from a central midfielder in the whole of Scotland.

    Masks the fact he is limited by aimless running, simply not good enough.

    He should score more goals but come on do any of our CMs or midfielders really score goals. And when he does score it can often prove vital just look at the hibs game. He always gets stuck in and makes it difficult in the midfield for the opposing team something ledley and ki never did.

    Total myth this, Ki is the best tackler in our midfield and usually actually manages to get the ball as opposed to sliding in like an *, clattering the opponent and getting booked / sent off.

    I knew this would be a good thread from the title alone.

    For a guy who can't pass, shoot and lacks any real composure on the football pitch - he has done ok.
    He runs around and puts the opposition under pressure which is definitely a good thing.

    He isn't terrible by any means, but he is NOT good going forward - don't fool yourself.

    would like our midfield (when fit/available) to be..
